Its beautiful!
As far as the color goes... it depends on your skin tone BUT I wore Ivory and it didn't clash too much with the shirts of the guys
You look stunning!
Yea I think I'm going to be a little darker by the wedding, so I'm worried about "popping". Check out the pic dressbee3, check out the guy in the back, looks like he approves! :P
Hi,
I bought a champagne colored Maggie gown that my daughter ended up not wearing that I have photos of. It is a beautiful light gold color. Hopefully attached photos will help you decide on your gown color. BTW- You look gorgeous! :)
Thanks girls, I wanted confirmation. I know I loved it in person so I shouldn't back down on that! Ivory with pewter it is! YAY!!
WOW! You look awesome! I like the lacing under your breast.. didnt know that it is possible... I would have ordered mine like that and in ivory too.. I love the ivory way better than champagne! So happy for you!
Zauber - i actually asked for a beaded sash to try it on and turn it into a bit of an empire waist! I'm sure that sash probably cost $200 so I'm on the hunt to make my own now.
And wait, has it really only been a week since i ordered my dress?!! Omg time is so slooow when you're waiting!!
hello! i am also a gatsby bride myself! i have posted a link to a previously posted blog of mine to show you the champagne/pewter over light gold which is the color i chose to go with and I absolutely love her!

but i was wondering, is that a real maggie sottero gown? bc the gown i tried on didnt have the detail underneath the breast area and i looked on her actual website and didnt see that on the gown pictured on her site. I just hope you didn't spend a load of money for a gown that maybe a knock off?
but the dress does look gorgeous on you. i hope that it all works out for you!
@vintagequeen19: As I said above, thats a sash that I put on with the dress. Yes its the real Gatsby dress. I just tried her on again the other day with some crinoline and fell in love all over again!
Figured I'd update with a pic :D I tried on a smaller jeweled sash, and I really think it makes it just a little more glamorous without going over the top. I tried on some veils too and decided I want either birdcage or just feathers/flowers, not sure! I liked the feathers in the pic below but theyre huge, I'll go with something smaller if I go that route. Opinions are always appreciated!

Earlier this week I posted about the Maggie Sottero Gatsby dress, and I actually found a bridal salon with one left. I wanted to upload pictures... one to show off :) and two! I just compared my dress to the one on the website, which is in champagne, and now I'm not sure if I still want the ivory/pewter!! They can't place the order until monday, so I need your advice!
