It’s really cold in my office and I was having a serious chocolate craving, so I had some hot chocolate and it was VERY tasty.
I USUALLY avoid drinking calories at all costs, because I feel like they’re being “wasted” since liquid doesn’t really stave off hunger and I’d rather eat solid food BUT I was having a major chocolate attack and I figured it was better than a trip to the vending machine. Plus I got the added benefit of warming up.
Besides I added up my caloric total for the day, and I have a nice bank left. I should be able to fit my lean cuisine in there tonight and still have room for a snack. So. Yay.

Everyone has to cave once in a while 🙂 Hot chocolate isn’t that bad for you as a treat if you make it with no sugar added powder and nonfat milk (Or soy if that’s your thing)!
And PS, I usually HATE soda but last night I was craving fountain root beer so I drank one. I think I drink soda once a year so I never feel guilty about it :p

I’m totally for drinking my calories if I need to warm up or cool down 🙂 Something about hot chocolate or tea when I’m freezing just is perfect. I could have a heater on my toes and it wouldn’t matter unless I injested something warm also! HAHA In the summer, an occasional margarita is perfect.

If you use the hot choc packets, it’s only 2 weight watcher points. If you go to the coffee bar for hot chocolate, it’s packing a whole lot more calories. It helps with my chocolate cravings, but sometime this week i need a piece of chocolate!

i often drink hot chocolate at night when i’m craving dessert….good stuff!
i did really badly today and ate bbq potato chips since i needed some kind of snack and was too lazy to find something healthy at work….booo….and then they left a bad after-taste so i ate some m&ms…double boo! AND i didn’t even get to the gym today because i had to leave my apt earlier than usual. it’s a bad day for me and the diet/excersize plan…….

@ everyone – It was the powdery cocoa in a package (not sugar free though). Whenever I do drink calories, I like it to have a label on it so I can at least fit it into my bank for the day!

Ugh, I’m the same way. It is kind of ridiculous when you think about it. I freak out because the tea that I drink is 65 calories and I like to add a little caramel syrup bringing it up to about 100 calories. And I freak! 100 precious calories taken away from dinner tonight! Counting calories is tough business but it works 😀
