I wore a birdcage veil for my ceremony and kept it on for my reception – I loved it! Haven’t gotten back the pro pics yet but I’ll come back to share a few if you’d like!

I think you can get away with a birdcage at the reception! It’s veils that hang down and get in the way that are a no-no at the reception!

You usually take of the veil for the reception because it’s to annoying to dance and move around in. That said, birdcases aren’t in the way, so I think it’s a good idea 🙂

Oh, I read the title and thought you meant a veil and birdcage at the same time, which would look really weird lol.

That sounds really fun to switch to a birdcage, I don’t consider them real veils, just a pretty accessory.

I’m doing this! Full veil with blusher for the ceremony, and then switching to a birdcage for the reception. I just have to FIND the birdcage now.

Do what YOU want! There are no rules that brides must follow 🙂

I also thought that you meant you wanted to wear both at the same time! ha! My initial reaction was “eh… whatever blows your skirt up, but I personally wouldn’t!”

Now that I’ve actually read the post I say go for it! No one is going to think twice about it, because it won’t be in the way at all!

I love this idea! People have taken to wearing fascinstors for the whole day (at least where I’m from!) so I kinda just think of a birdcage as a bridal fascinator. I say go for it!

I’m comteplating wearing mine the entire time as well. This pretty bride wore her veil during the ceremony and reception. It can definitely be done, and it looks adorable to boot! Also if anyone is looking for a cheap birdcage veil, etsy has tons!
