    So I have been lusting after a particular dress at David's Bridal since I saw it online and in the store. Problem....it's not available in plus sizes!!

    Well I sent an e-mail to DB asking if they plan on ever offering this dress in plus sizes and if not, would it be possible for me to get the pattern. Guess what??

    THEY RESPONDED!!

    They are contacting the buyer to see if it would be possible to make me one of these suckers for my size/proportions. I'm excited =)

    That is pretty!  I can't imagine why they wouldn't want to make in a plus size, that's just silly.  I mean, there are a lot of designers that suck like that, but DB is usually more accomodating to the plus size beauties.  Hope it works out!

    That's awesome. I love hearing stories about GOOD customer service. It's so rare.

    Even if it ends up not working out, they deserve kudos for making the effort.

    I've got my fingers crossed for you. :)

    I have my fingers crossed that they come through. I REALLY want the one on the right. I am doing a "Church hat" themed bridal shower and this dress would look fabulous with the huge church lady hat I have in mind...LOL. Plus the colors are so vivid when I saw it in the store.

    FYI...if you have broad shoulders...you can't fit into the dress either b/c it doesn't have zippers...it's pull-over styling. My size 8 sister couldn't fit in the dress either...LOL.

    That is awesome.  Both styles are also great shapes for bigger sized girls.

    @TheRen...I will keep you posted

    @caszos...that's why I was so confused as to why they didn't have them in plus-sizes. This is one of the most flattering cuts for plus-sized women. I told the consultant in DB that they were sitting on a goldmine and didn't even know it...LOL.

    I would buy BOTH of those dresses in a heartbeat. I LOVE long flowy sundresses...especially the ones that you can dress up or down.

    Ooohh...love those!  I looked for maxi dresses like those for our honeymoon last year with no luck (all the ones i liked were for skinny, not-so-big-booby girls) :(

    I hope you can get one (or both) of them!!!

    I still haven't heard back from them but my fingers are crossed. If they don't come through I am buying the fabric and having one made...LOL. It's hard enough finding cute plus-sized clothes but when you're plus-sized AND above average height...it's like finding a needle in a haystack =(

    @JamaicaBride- Have you tried other stores for similar dresses?

    Check out www.bandlu.com, Torrid, Evans and Dorothy Perkins (both in the UK)

    @kurts...I have checked multiple sites and while they have similar patterns...they tend to be too short. I am around 5'9" and I want it to go to the floor so I have the option of wearing flats or heels. I have a couple of sundresses from Torrid that are a good length but none with the fabric and pleating of the David's Bridal dresses. I DID find another site that I have bookmarked at home but the dress is like 300 bucks....whew
