What look are you going for? you can pick a couple!
When I walk down the isle, I want my husband-to-be's jaw to drop. I will be wearing a body hugging fit and flare gown that does good things for my "girls". lol. The dress is plain so I will be adding a sash (probably with bling!). I was wondering what else I can do to be sexier (but not trashy) on my wedding day. Hair? undergarments? make- up? beauty tricks?
Please add pics of what you did or are going to do! I want to see some beautiful and/or sexy real brides so that I can get some good ideas :)
I'm going for classy. We have a unique, historic venue, and a lot of our guests are older, so I think 'classy' is definitely the best fit.
As far as looking sexy, I'd say the best thing to do would be to talk to your fiance about what he finds sexiest about you. If he says your eyes, go for dramatic smokey-eyed make-up. If he says lips, use a color that will make them stand out. Whatever body part he likes, make sure to tastefully show it off.
I want to look beautiful and look like myelf.
My dress shows off my figure but it isnt like "BAM!" With all my family there, I've always felt uncomfortable with the idea of looking sexy on my wedding day and envisioned myself as beautiful, funky yet elegant me. My man's jaw will drop at that for sure! But his idea of sexy isnt over the top, so he probably wouldnt like if I wore something revealing. We're on the same page there. The honeymoon however...
In a perfect world, I would look effortlessly beautiful. More realistically, I hope to look pretty and casual and fun.
fun/flirty! I want to look like I showed up for the single purpose of having a good time. (Although writing that, it sounds like I'm going to walk down the aisle in slutty club gear... um, no).

@Roe: I definatly agree that too sexy is too much for a wedding. I will not be hanging out anywhere or anything like that! No cut outs in my dress lol.

I agree with asking your FI what he finds is sexy and going from there. Some guys love curly hair, hair down, etc.
@Ksweingartner: Awww, thanks! You're sweet. I've never been good at girly things like clothing and hair and makeup, so I'm hoping that when I get professionals to do my hair and makeup, it will be a big improvement.

Personally, I think the brides who look the best are the ones who just amp up their day-to-day style. If you are usually a "sexy" dresses, wear that body hugging gown and smoky eyes, if you usually are preppy, go preppy, fresh faced, clean lines. You really can't go wrong with a style that has served you well.
I'm going natural. I'm a pretty eclectic person, I go through lots of different styles, so I figure I want to keep my wedding day to a fairly natural look all around, just so 5 years after it I don't look at the pictures and go "Holy crap, what was I thinking?" because I was going through a goth period or a Charlotte York phase.
I want to look sexy, classy and glamorous. You can be sexy in a classy way. A knee-length wrap dress with seamed stockings and heeled pumps is sexy on a day-to-day basis...
On my wedding day, I'll be in a corset under my off-the-shoulder Victorian-inspired dress with seamed stockings and silk knickers for him to enjoy later.
I know he'll find that sexy.
Its cool if you want to be classy and understated...whatever floats your boat.
But I am sexy. I intend to be sexy and refuse to be anything but on the day when I'm supposed the be the best form of myself.
I'm not gonna look like a stripper, my dress doesn't have cut outs, I'm not wearing fishnets or those weird clear platforms.
I'm sexy. You'll be YOU and be BEAUTIFUL. But....Sexy works for me.
I want to look romatic. I want to look like I just stepped out of a Taylor Swift music video. Just joking (sort of....)
I want to look classy, sexy, and flirty :) I have a fitted dress, its a fit and flare. With a smokey eye for my make up to really draw him to my eyes, one of my best qualities of myself lol and my dress shows off my booty, which he loves so much haha!!
I personally go for romantic. For me personally, sexy is reserved for, well, sexy times :-) I want my wedding to be romantic.

I was going for romantic/natural with a bit of princess thrown in. I wouldn't say sexy but I did want the dress to be flattering on my body. Here's what I ended up with!
Sexy and WOW!! I want him to be like dannnng! she looks beautiful! I am def. going for a fit n flare mermaid style:)) I am small yes,but I have 3 kids so some nice hips,curves! I am 5'4 and about 112 and 28. Wanna look like a woman! People mistake me alll the time for 20-21, thanks but nope!
I want to be beautiful on my wedding day. I'll highlight my assets, but I don't care that much about looking sexy. Sexy to me is for the wedding night :-).

My 2nd choice dress was sexy, and I loved it but didn't feel sophisticated enough to pull it off! In the end I guess my look was quite young and fun? A bit more me and a bit more relexed. But that was just the way things ended up coming together, I didn't really have a plan.
You have a very lucky Mr that's all I can say, and I'm sure he will appreciate you rocking the sexy look!

Our wedding was very rustic , nature inspired, earthy with a romantic\historical feel :)
I just wanted a romantic feel while looking very natural\beautiful.
lol! i typically rock the whole sexy look. I am trying to go classy for my wedding:) but my dress is very low cut so again i will be somewhat sexy.
I want to look like myself, but I want to wear a dress that everyone will remember. Thinking pink and fun :)
***Update: My FH says "sexy but classy". No preference on hair up or down. And when I asked what he finds sexy about me he named off pretty much all of my body parts individually haha. He is so hard to please! :D I guess I am mainly concerned about feeling sexy/beautiful myself because he'll think I look great no matter what.

Sexy, for both myself and my FH.
Sexy in a way that does NOT offend any family members, but we don't have any prudes on either side to offend: they're liberal baby boomers & the echo generation. And because of the history of marriage being a sexually charged event, I KNOW there will be naughty jokes and comments, from older AND younger relatives on either side. That's our families: so sexy fits.
My dress is all lace, but a body-hugging trumpet with a deep sweetheart, inner corset with cups for oomph, and low V-back. I'll be doing my makeup similar to my everyday: doe-eye shadow with slightly winged liner, and adding half strip brown false lashes to wink at him all evening.
@Ivorybuttons: You just described my absolute dream dress! I want to look sexy but sophisticated, glamorous and dramatic without being too over-top. I just want a dress that will look like it's meant for me and fits my look and personality.

I don't have a theme or feeling like "casual beauty" or "charmingly romantic." I'm going for hyper-me. Me, but enhanced - SuperKristenGettingMarried3000. My best foot forward, if you will. Tighter dress, higher heels, fuller hair (thanks, extensions!), longer and thicker eyelashes, perfect make up, etc. As flawlessy 'me' as I can get :) Not sure that falls into a category.
