LOL I love this! Super sweet. You should totally do it… is there anything he has been wanting for Christmas that you can get him a souped-up version of?

I kinda did the same thing…but shortly after he proposed to me. We came back from dinner and there was a new leather briefcase (one he had been eyeing) on the counter, with a MacBook still in its box half peeking out of it. The card that Apple attached to it (I had it gift wrapped when I ordered it) said “You’ve been counter-proposed” inside and nothing else.

I thought it was hilarious and fun. He thought it was excessive, but also awesome. (He had been saving FOR-EV-ER for a ring, so I thought he deserved something big!) He also desperately needed a new laptop and a new work bag, so.

Cute idea! I reproposed to my FI as well! I don’t think that the men should be the only ones that get the romantic gesture of a well thought out proposal!

@AnaA:  What about one of those ginormous bars of chocolate. Like those Symphony bars, whatever they are? That could be super cute and fun.

@AnaA:  I think just a romantic night is good enough. Sounds like a sweet idea, no gift necessary.

@AnaA:  I think the gesture is more than enough. It’s such a sweet idea too! If you agreed on no gifts, then don’t worry about it.

@AnaA:  Oh, yay! Those are fun. He can even wear them on your big day (if you let him, hehe) and it will be so sweet!

@AnaA:  Thats so cute!  Can you make him something instead?  Last year for our anniversary I bought a jar from Michaels and wrote a list of things I loved about him and gave him.  I always love the thoughtful gifts more than anything bought, and FI loved it.  He took out each slip of paper to read it!
