Our was butter cream. We did a smaller two tiered cake to cut and then had quarter sheet cakes in the back to serve along side our cake.

This is not our cake, but this is the type of cake we’re having at the wedding. Actually, we’re having a few small ones on a dessert table. It’s called a “naked cake”. Not so many, if any, berries on it though.

I’m having an intimate christmas wedding and this was my inspirational cake photo. Since my fiance wants fondant and I want buttercream rosettes, we are doing a 2 tier cake,  the red buttercream rosettes (with white pearls in the middle of each) on the bottom and the top will be fondant with the black ribbon and have sugar crystals so it looks like glittery snow. I cant wait to actually see it!
