I wouldn’t show it to him.  He will love it when he sees it on you and that’s all that matters.  You don’t want him to see it and say that he doesn’t like it and then you will second guess yourself or end up having to buy another one and waste money.

That’s a hard one.  I showed my FI a picture of it and then the dress on the hanger but not on me.  I think he liked it!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Seeing a dress in a picture online and seeing a dress in person on someone you love are two different things.  I would just keep your selection to yourself because he is going to be blown away when he sees you the day of.  No need to make yourself second guess your selection.

Don’t show him unless you actually want to! I’m sure your dress is gorgeous. I don’t think seeing a dress on the computer is anything like the dress on you. As long as you feel beautiful, that’s what he’ll see. I showed R my dress, but that’s because I genuinely wanted to… and I got a giddy feeling doing it, but I think you should wait awhile.

PS: want doesn’t have an apostrophe. ๐Ÿ˜› I’m a grammar nerd!

I showed my FH my dress. I don’t believe in “bad dress karma” or bad luck, supersition or whatnot.

Did he say why he thought it would be too casual? In what way is your dress similar to the dress he thought was too casual?

What about it did he think was too casual?  It may also be a matter of styling.  Could it be dressed up to look more wedding-y if you are worried?

On your wedding day, that’s not what he’ll be thinking about! Guys can be ridiculous, but when it comes down to it I think he’ll just have his eyes on you and think you look gorgeous. Try not to worry about it!

And lol about the typos – I get the same way, especially after work. I think my brain just stops functioning at that point. Um, time for me to go to bed? Haha.

i wouldn’t show him the dress, unless of course you really think you need to, but then what? if he doesnt approve will you feel you need to find another one?  you choose your dress for a reason, im sure it’s beautiful.

He’s going to think you look gorgeous no matter what! we all like to think that our FH’s care about what dress we are wearing but in all reality it’ll be you walking towards him that takes his breath away.

I had to show him my dress on a hanger because I needed someone to talk me out of buying another.  He loved it and pointed out details about it that I loved too.

When I was shopping I would show him pictures of dresses online and he would yay or nay it. But I bought my dress at a store by myself so he’d never seen it.
