What about it down but kind of pinned to one side. Best of both

@skippydarling:  the straps will get seen either way when your hair moves around (unless you’re solidifying it infront of your shoulders with gallons of product). Show off that glorious hair!

I voted up – I think the straps on the dress are so pretty and you would be missing them with your hair down. Also, if there is any beading, your hair could get caught on the beads and get frizzy (this happened with my prom dress, haha).

You also could do a half-updo (a little more up than Dianna), so that the hair in front is off the straps, but the hair in back is down and curled?

PS I am SO jealous of your hair type. Sigh.

As a fellow long-haired (brunette) bride wearing straps, I am having the same dilemma.  It also doesn’t help that my FI does not like my hair up! So my stylist is using this photo as a guide…hair down, but the front pulled away from my face and neck so you can still see the straps.

@skippydarling:  You could do a side pony. Two of my BMs had their hair done like that and I thought it was beautiful!

@skippydarling:  Definitely! I hired a former drag queen for hair and makeup, so we certainly had volume! 🙂
