@figgnewton:  I was just a MOH and I planned the bridal shower, bach. party and made sure I was there to help with diy decorations and other little things she needed help with. More than anything, I tried to keep her stress free.

@figgnewton:  Throw the bridal shower (and/or bachelorette). Stand up with her at the ceremony. Help her have fun.

Other than that- just continue to be a good friend. I am helping my BFF with decorations and stuffing invites. I’m doing her hair, helping with makeup. I helped her shop for all her accesories. But that’s the kind of friends we are. If she’s more independant, then you are by no means obligated to do any of that.

I planned a bm dress shopping weekend and the bachelorette. Her mom planned her shower (thankfully). Other than that I listened/gave advice and asked her if she needed help with anything.

@figgnewton: It should be fun!  For my BFF’s shower we picked colors & decor that would go with her wedding colors/theme in hopes that she might be able to reuse some of the stuff. Worked out great! The other bridesmaids and I are just making more of what we did for the shower so she can decorate the reception hall. 🙂

@figgnewton:  I would ask your friend what SHE expects of you, first of all. But the main duties include bridal shower, bachelorette, and communicating to the other bridesmaids.

I just threw my first shower this past weekend. Honestly, if you go on Pintrest, start collecting ideas. I did a garden/country theme brdial shower, and it turned out amazing. All finger food, red plates with white flowers, and I even used the only crafty bone in my body to make a burlap and scrapbook paper congrats sign. She was very thrilled!
