I’m doing infusion jars for our ceremony refreshment table (since it’s held outdoors)! We got 3 jars for $15 at Bed Bath & Beyond using the $5 off coupons! FMIL & FSIL are letting me use their 2 so it’s like I got 3 for 1!!!

As long as you have permission, I would go for it! Everyone loves a good beverage! Just make sure they have time to mingle and drink whatever you have for them before you are scheduled to walk down the aisle. I’m doing mine more because our guests will be arriving by trolley and will have to wait for the trolley to make all of its rounds (before and after the ceremony), so there will be definite “mingle” time.

I have a couple of those great infusion jars and I got them at T.J. Maxx!!  they are great for entertaining…in the summer I put Sangria, lemonade, and punches in them.  In the winter I put spiced wine and cider in them 🙂

P.S. A “seabreeze” is simply Vodka, Grapefruit juice and Cranberry juice.  A “baybreeze” is Vodka, Pineapple juice and Cranberry juice.  Both are great!  And if you like these, you’ll probably also love a “Madras” which is Vodka, Orange Juice and Cranberry juice 🙂

LoL, i used to wait tables so I’ve heard of most alcoholic beverages and then some. Italian margaritas are fantastic, also. Margarita+amaretto. YUMMY. I like absolut grapefruit vodka with sprite, too. and long beaches are good…mmmm. (long island with cranberry instead of coke, and THEn i sub peach vodka for plain vodka. Holy yum)

I love making infused vodka.  It’s so easy!

My friends’ fav recipe: Vanilla.  Mellow and not sweet.

Put 1″ vanilla bean in a pint of vodka.  (Good quality, at least 4 times distilled.  Platinum is good and inexpensive.)

Seal the jar/bottle and set aside for 3 weeks.  Shake the bottle occasionally.

Strain the vodka/bean liquid through a few layers of cheesecloth into a bottle that won’t mind being in the freezer.

Serve cold in little shot or liquor glasses.  This is a sipping vodka.

I just put up some bottles with fresh blueberries I bought at the farm.  The recipe I used said to use it 3-4 weeks later to make a blueberry vodka and raspberry liquor martini.  Sounds yummy.

I never use sugar in my infused vodkas.  Makes them taste like soda pop, like the bottles of flavored vodkas in the stores.  If they would use only real fruit and vanilla, the results would be soooo much better.

I’m going to try cantaloupe next!
