Early early this morning I had one of the scariest dreams I could ever attest to having in my life. It was so scary that when I woke up, even though I had to pee really bad, I couldn’t make myself leave the room. I had gotten up to get my robe and then saw a mirror, freaked out and jumped back in bed. I was so scared that I was afraid to go back to sleep for fear this dream would continue or reoccur.
The dream was kinda like this:
I saw someone coming out of a movie theater. Next thing I knew I was in/on a spaceship and was assigned the mission to steal a very important Egyptian artifact off of the ship. I remember climbing a neverending staircase in my quest to discover the best way to steal said object without getting caught. On my way back to my room I hopped on an elevator to get to my floor. Instead I found out that I was on a horrifying elevator. When the doors shut I was trapped. I kept pushing the button to get out but I was unable. The elevator was rocking and speeding, going up so fast that I was terrified. I was screaming and screaming for help, for someone to let me off but was of no avail. Suddenly the elevator shifted and my hand landed in a puddle of blood and feces. To my left I discovered a little toilet full of feces and vomit all over the floor (TMI I’m sorry). All the sudden I noticed a shower and the curtain came back revealing a dead man who, when I noticed him, snapped his neck and, still looking dead, started telling me very important message (which I don’t remember). Suddenly, after he told me the information, I was off the elevator, conversing with the princess of the ship who lead me to a computer and we both activated it and put ourselves to sleep.
I looked up all the key words on the dream website and let’s just say, it didn’t look promising. I RARELY look up my dreams, but this one has stood out to me so much and I was so positively scared that I did it.
Anyone else have paralyzing dreams before?

Sorry, never had paralyzing dreams like that before. Hope you don’t mind a little armchair psych interpretation of your dream from me 🙂 My take would be that you fear somewhere in your subconcious that your life, or some aspect of your life is out of your control. Or you fear if you can’t or don’t have some degree of control, things will spiral out into the worst possible outcome.
Again, that’s just a generalization, and my humble opinion. I read a great book by Sylvia Browne, titled ‘Book of Dreams’, and it offers insight into the different types of dreams, and what they can often mean. Most importantly, it emphasizes that the most important thing you can take away from your dreams, regardless of the content, is how the dream made you feel. And to explore why you may be feeling that way.
Good luck, and I wish you happier dreams 🙂

@Wonderwoman217: Your idea does seem to make a lot of sense after I read what the definitions described on the website. The common theme going on with a lot of the things that happened seemed to be indicating that people are taking advantage of me and that there are negative people in my life. It also indicates that I’m trying to protect myself from realizing this, etc. It’s kinda creepy because I’ve been having a lot of similar meaning dreams lately (that I’m trying to hide something but not allowing myself to see it).
I am doing a lot for school, and really trying to control it so that I can get all A’s. I am working a lot for work and the wedding but our relationship is amazing (FI and me) so I have no idea where this is all coming from.

@SweetRose2011: ohhh thats sooo scary. I feel for you!!
I have been having awful night mares latley too. I have been under a ton of stress and we are moving into a duplex…going from a s mall “cozy” apartment to a place with hallways, more then two rooms and lots of windows, i should be excited right? nope. Im scared.
Every night before i go to bed, i picture myself at the new place. When i get out of bed there is a dead man standing in the bedroom window (there is a little deck infront of the master bedroom), so i run down the hall to the kitchen and there on the deck in the window is the dead man again.he doesnt say anything or do anything, he is just there, in the window everytime….I told Darling Husband im actually scared to move into this place bc of these “visions” or “dreams” He said he will get up with me in the morning etc. so im not scared…but i still am.
