@Treetop27: Would you say the stain ruins the dress? Is it large / totally noticeable? If so….it sounds like you might be out of luck unless someone else on here knows of some sort of wine-cleaning secret.

If its small and you would barely see it unless you were looking for it (or it could be covered by a sash or something?), you might have more options…i.e. trying to sell it at a discount with full disclosure that it is damaged, not fixable, etc. I would think someone trying to get a great dress at a major discount might be okay with a small stain that could be covered or not noticed.

I think it all depends on the location, visibility, and size of the stain itself. And I want to be clear that I am only advising you to try to sell it if the potential buyer knows exactly what they are getting.

So sorry this happened to you 🙁 Did your dad pay for the dress in the first place? If so, I don’t think you should have to worry about it!

hydrogen peroxide gets out wine! bf spilled red wine all over his pants and it was the only thing that worked. Soak in water, pour HP on, let it sit then rinse as soon as it fades. Takes a few minutes tops.
