I wasn't going to do wedding favors because I didn't see their purpose and it just wasn't in our budget to spend $$ on 'em. But bubbles will provide a great photo-op for us :D AND give our guests a little memento to keep afterwards :D D:D Here's a picture of what ours will look like.. (except that the ribbon will be Navy Blue and the letters in Ivy :]

oh yeah, and the whole cost for 100 of these: $70.00!!! :D :D

Cute! I think bubbles are a good favor type thing to give guests and so practical at the end of the wedding!

I hate to BURST YOUR BUBBLE (hehe!Wink) but most people chuck these after an event! If your not going to do favors that's fine. But don't expect people to keep these and not throw them away on their way out of your venue! I've seen so many beautiful bubble-exit pics. I hope we can do that too! But don't go to a family member's home a month after your wedding and expect to see an empty bubble wand on their nic-nac shelf! (When I think "favor" I think something that will be kept for more than a day!)

PLUS - if you have kids on your guest list - help the parents out by NOT letting little kids take these home! The liquid can stain or at least make a mess of their pretty party outfits and vehicle upholstry in the short time it takes to get them home! (Sorry, it's my "Mommy Voice" speaking!)

These are cute but I agree with Proudpeacockbride. They will only be used that day and then tossed. Maybe you could spend the $70 on something that they'll keep for a while

hehehe... well, I must admit I'm mostly doing it for the photo-op :P .. besides, i really don't think anyone keeps wedding favors (i sure as heck never have, i usually just toss them after the wedding) and doing edible ones was out of the question. "bubbles! bubbles!! my Bubbles" :D lol

eh, keep them.  @ least it's 70 and a photo op, instead of 70 of little trinkets that are chucked and not making cute photos :O)  I love bubbles, too.  I throw out most favors too.. woops!  Give me something useful like a screwdriver or bottle opener and i'll keep it.

yes, the bubbles will be great for the photo op, but I wouldn't call them favors. Keep the bubbles, but stick with not having favors too :)

we're doing bubbles but I never realized they could be considered a favor...now it seems like we have tons of favors, lol!  sweet!

p.s.

if anyone needs bubbles, i will probably have a ton left over after our big day...PM me if you are looking!

I love bubbles..do the stick kind work as good as the bottle kind do? I love how much fancier the stick bubbles look, but I've heard the small wand makes it harder to blow out the bubbles

They are cute, but I am afraid we got you beat in terms of cost. We got 200 packets of wildflowers that had "Wildflowers from Our Wedding" on them and had them personalized with our names for $70. On the back was a short paragraph thanking the guest for sharing our joy and urging them to plant the seeds and to remember the hapiness of the day when the flowers bloom. The seeds made sense to me as we had a garden wedding and I teach botany (amongst other biology-related subjects). We also had matches done in our wedding colors and our names and the date of the wedding.
