Sounds like you had a good time. Did you take any pics of the wedding I love seeing real weddings...
Haha! I will probably need little anecdotes like this throughout...
It was great - seriously. A totally lovely evening. And they both looked SO happy. Reminded me what's really important.
I agree! At the end of the day no matter how many dollars you slap down, it's the love that counts and the family that is created!
Hugs and a second "eye on the ball" to everybody!
Seriously, thank you for sharing. I am trying to keep my mind on the ceremony and the fact that I am marrying my best friend in the world next September. In the end that's all that matters. It's a good reminder that no one really cares about letterpress invites and DIY projects that look like Martha Stewart spearheaded them.
That's a great post! Thanks so much for sharing! I agree sometimes we need little reminders like this so we can remember it's not about having the most expensive wedding. its about being husband and wife and having a great time with those who are there to celebrate!!
Thanks again for posting this!!
excellent post - I think we all need to keep it in perspective sometimes!
Thanks for putting it all in perspective, I've been over here having recurring nightmares about our centerpieces, lol. I've been in several weddings and I can't even remember what the flowers looked like, I know the guests don't!
Yea! Thanks for the refreshing post. From the other side, I can say that I had a lot of nice things (like letterpress invites) but the biggest and bestest parts I remember are the ceremony, our non-choreographed first dance, and the awesome dance party that the reception turned into.
I've always thought the best decoration for a wedding is a truly ecstatic couple. Second best is a happy family. We can't always control the second, but should worry if the first isn't there.
Such a great post! Thanks a ton for sharing!! Great perspective, thanks!

It was the first wedding we've been to since we got engaged.
The invites weren't letterpressed, the centerpieces were simple. Their DJ was hokey and their photographer was a little annoying. They got married in a venue where 5 other parties were going on and we could hear music and speeches from other parties.
And you know what?
None of it mattered.
There was food, there was drink, there were people laughing and talking and eating and dancing, and at the end of the day the two of them were husband and wife.
Eye on the ball girls. :-)
