And I wasn’t thinking I’d get anything out of it, and was just going for the experience but I went with mgirlfriends a girlfriend and I loved it!
We got some eye makeup done, and I was early enough to sign up for a demo of eyelash extensions. They’re really nice. Also I was able to get a lot of ideaoffer decor and think I’ve solidified my “vision”.
Any other bees gone to wedding shows? What did you think of them?

I think it helped me to an extent, but I also felt like I was on a used car lot too 🙂

I actually couldn’t stand them.

I only went to one with one of my MOHs and I had a great time. I ended up going with a photographer who I met there. I also wanted to check out the venue so it was a fun way to do it without feeling any pressure. We left before it ended.
I don’t really feel the need to go to any more though. I used a local wedding forum and word of mouth to find a lot of my vendors. I want out wedding to be as simple as humanly possible so I don’t need too many ideas.
That being said, I ended up picking another venue and I will take my mother and sister to a showcase there when they have one, so they can see the place and try the food.

I went to one in Chicago – wasn’t overly thrilled.
Most of the demonstrations and things we seen were things I could find by doing a google search, or from pinterest.
As someone who isn’t hiring alot of vendors and doing alot myself, there really wasn’t a need for me.
I guess it would be good for a bride looking for many many many vendors, or was completely clueless as to what she wanted! .

@Tphan: I had exactly the same experience!!! I had no idea about my colours or theme but I went to a local wedding fair and saw the most beautiful flowers stall with lots of dusty pink / mocha and vintage looking bouquets- I was sold and my theme (mocha/vintage) was born!!
