I can't believe I actually found it! I have been shopping for a few months now, and then once we went to Kleinfeld, it seemed like such a whirlwind! The experience there was fantastic, and they really listened and didn't pressure me about budget like they imply on the show. It wasn't what I expected which makes me a little nervous...but it is really flattering on. I had two criteria, 1) that it be super flattering, and 2) that it also be flowy. Here is a pic I found of it after much searching

I now have to wait 6 months to see it again! I hope I like it as much as I did at Kleinfeld. I could picture myself walking down the isle in it, which is pretty special. I am thinking about a birdcage veil only maybe with tulle or chiffon so it matches with the dress? I am not sure if it is still called a birdcage if it is not open net. Also, I think I am going to make the neckline more of a sweetheart and add a rhinestone belt or sash possibly... What do you think???
it's stunning!!! i think the rhinestone belt would be awesome!!! check bridalbling on etsy...
That's so nice! It's going to me amazing!! And I'm glad they didn't pressure you. I can't handle that show sometimes. Either they're too pushy or the bride is just there to be on the show thus wasting everyone's time. I live in NYC and never thought to go there, bummer lol.
Beautiful dress! I like the idea of a belt or sash on that dress. My dress is somewhat similar to yours in terms of simplicity (no beading, etc) and I'm going to be adding a sash with a silk flower with feathers attached to it.
i tried on that dress and LOVED it!!! it's seriously beautiful. Congrats!! I tried it on with a sparkly belt which was beautiful but also with a satin sash that they pinned a flower to. Just another option! You are going to be stunning!
It's gorgeous!! I love the button details and it looks very comfortable!!
Thanks everyone!
- marlie - I like that idea too! I tried it on with a grey sash with beading that I really liked. Too bad the sash was almost as much as the dress!
- cazsos - I hope it's not see through or I will be one sexy bride! LOL
- Emilie - I love the buttons too! It is comfortable and it sucks me in at the same time. haha Perfect!
Wahoo Guac! I wore that dress too and LOVED it! I have a bunch of pix of it posted in the Gallery. I also bought a Monique L. sash to wear from the reception but, in the end, opted not to wear it. I'm sure you look smashing in it! And don't worry. It's not even remotely see-through.
I love that dress. I thought that was "my" dress until I found and fell in love with another Marisa dress. When I was considering the dress you picked, I tried it on with the dark brown/grey floral sash that comes with the Enzoani Diana dress. You can purchase that sash separately for about $275. When I tried on that belt with that dress...it was GORGEOUS!!! If you can, you should try floral belt with the dress.
Congrats! It's a beauiful dress, I can totally see why you chose it. Love the idea of the sweetheart neckline, the belt, and the birdcage veil.
Thanks Thanks Thanks! It really is a beautiful dress.
@jamie80218 - my experience at Kleinfeld was fantastic. They were really nice, attentive, and helped me stay within my budget without a problem. My consultant's name was Judy. She was awesome! She was also really great about including my mom which was nice since I brought my mom and 3 bridesmaids. Also, I forgot to get some information the day I bought the dress so I called the next day and the emailed me pictures of the dress on a mannequin and all the style info.
@tigerlily - I will totally take your advice and try on a belt like the one you described. I tried it on with a Monique Lhouillier grey belt that was gorgeous but out of my price range.
@mkendrick - ahhh how do I find pics of you in the dress?? I am dying to see! Great minds think a like!!! Btw, I see you are from Vegas! I got engaged in Vegas!
I got a Marisa at Kleinfeld too! I can't find a picture of it on the web to save my life so here's a crappy iPhone pic of me in the sample dress.
Congrats!
I'm down to two dresses and the Marisa 815 is one of them! I love it! But it has been a nightmare trying to find photos of it online! The Marisa website is under construction and after MANY attempts looking up the style number, I finally stumbled on mkendrick's photos!
If I end up with this dress, I'm having the salon add a one-shoulder chiffon strap with big fabric flowers on it. Can't wait to see photos of you in the dress Guac!
Congrats on finding the one! It's so pretty and flowy! I am so jealous of you Kleinfeld brides!
I got my dress at Kleinfeld too! It was the only place I visited where EVERY dress was a winner. Camille from the show was my consultant and she was so sweet. I never thought I'd buy my dress there, but goes to show you never know!
Congratulations! You will look just beautiful.
SO pretty! it would be lovely with a sash, but it's very pretty without too.
That's a beautiful dress! I think it would look great with a short veil or birdcage!
mkendrick... you are GORGEOUS!
kittyachi.. that dress flatters you so well! It looks awesome! It says you are in NYC and having your wedding in CT. I actually lived in NYC until a few months ago when my fiance got a promotion and we moved to CT. We are doing the reverse of each other! I am living in CT and having a NYC wedding!
Thanks for all the support ladies! I need and appreciate it! I will keep everyone posted on the veil/sash outcome!
Hey guac! That's my dress too. :) I'm thinking of doing a fingertip veil for the ceremony and maybe a birdcage for the photographs; my mom and I will be making both. I figure this is the only time in my life I'll get to wear a cute birdcage veil!
I have a few pictures too, if you want to see. I did try a sash on, but it didn't look right on me, and sort of took away from the pretty asymmetrical bias design of the dress.
mkendrick - any tips on what kind of bra to get? I should probably go in again before the dress arrives and figure out what kind I need.
I obviously LOVE this dress because I said yes to the Marisa 815 too!!! I'd been seriously dreaming of going to Kleinfelds fooooorever, but I found the Marisa 815 in Virginia and decided it was the one, but that was not without some seriously panicked calls to every member of my family trying to decide if Kleinfeld's actually had my perfect dress. Luckily, I love it more everyday and I too have to wait 6 months to see it! I bought it in the ivory, did you go with diamond white or ivory? So annoying though they don't post pictures...how am I to look at it every day and think yay that's my wedding dress if I don't have readily available photos?!? Congrats on finding the dress!!! I can't wait to get it and start looking at veils and belts and shoes and necklaces. I was thinking maybe a long veil with it for the ceremony since it'll look pretty with the organza layers and then either a flower or a birdcage veil for the reception!
Gorgeous dress. I really like PetiteCupcake's idea to put on a shoulder of flowers. Maybe you could do either a blingy belt or just a simple belt with a flower. I almost went with a Marisa. I couldn't stand how difficult it was to find pictures either. I was told they do that on purpose to avoid any copyright infringement issues as their styles are often quite similar to the Melissa Sweet collection. Regardless, that is a beautiful dress!
Thanks Thanks Tanks!
jduck84 I would love to see pictures! I kills me that there aren't pictures of it. I have a problem second guessing EVERY decision I make, so being able to look at pictures of the dress 80 million times would help me! I will be making my veil too... I think. So we can share our veil making ideas! Great minds think a likeeeee!
That goes for you too VADCbride! I love that we have our own little clan of Marisa 815s!!! I went with Ivory, I agree that style of veil would look great with the organza layers. I am thinking maybe a birdgcage style, only in organza or tulle. I have yet to see one that looks like the one in my head!
fanatic888 I also love the idea of the one shoulder flower idea...hmmmm Thanks for the compliments on the dress!
Hey guacamole! Here are my pics from when I first tried the dress on. Please excuse the my black bra, haha... They are a bit repetitive, but I hope they're helpful.
And yes, we should definitely consult on veil making! I found a website that details how to make a birdcage veil, but she used netting, not tulle:
