We were given a list of suggested music for our wedding by our vicar. One of them was I Will Follow Him from Sister Act. I’m tempted to have it for signing the register but don’t know if it’ll be too cheesy and detract from the wedding.
What are other people’s thoughts?
Has anyone else used it?

@nic_kelly: It’s a cute song with a good beat. Personally, I don’t love the message it is sending if you are not using it to reference God (I’m all for following God, but no so much for “following him wherever he may go” if it is my husband.)
How do YOU feel about it? If you are worried it might be cheesy, I think it’s not the right song for you.

Honestly, it makes me think of the cultures where women are expected to walk a few steps behind their husband because they’re not considered equals.

@nic_kelly: I think it’s beautiful and I like it. I think my fiance and I are thinking about having our gospel singers sing “all you need is love” like in the film love actually 🙂
