Of course you're worried about the weather for your wedding day! I'm worried about the weather for my wedding day and it's not until June! So obviously, a little worry is natural and is going to happen...But it sounds like you're doing a lot of worrying, so I will tell you something that has helped me a bit... Two separate people have told me recently that they went to weddings where is rained (and they were both supposed to be outdoors with tented receptions) and both said the wedding was an absolute blast, regardless of the weather! Both reported an atmosphere of "Welp, it's raining out, let's dance and party and have a good time!" Also, I know people have been telling you this but you absolutely CANNOT trust the weather forecast this far out! I've done the same thing, looking like, a week or two ahead, and it almost ALWAYS changes...My engagement BBQ in June was forecasted to thunderstorm all day, at 4:00 (party started at 4:30), the weather channel said there was a 90% chance of rain in my zip code...And it was beautiful and sunny all day. So try not to look at the forecast until a few days before! You're obviously going to be somewhat worried about everything but try not to let it overshadow all the wonderful feelings and love that are going to make your wedding day amazing!!!
i think it's normal to worry a bit.. but don't let it overwhelm you. it sounds like you're already prepared with a plan b for inclement weather. just hope for the best.. if not, you'll have great memories of the time when..
This isn't helpful but, I'd be worried too! I think its a brides nature to worry about that, you've spent your entire engagement if not longer with the vision of your wedding and if its an outdoor vision- you need the rain to hold off! Don't feel crazy for obsessing, that's something I'd do. I really hope it does work out! If only we could negotiate with mother nature!
Thanks ladies for your words of encouragement! runrgurl10...thank you for sharing your experiences, that really helps. Just keep your fingers crossed and I'll do my best to stay positive!

I am normally a fairly anxious and worrisome person and this wedding planning has just magnified that by 100. I was actually starting to feel calm and ready as the wedding is September 12 and everything is done and ready...but then, I started looking at the extended forecasts...not a good idea. Rain, rain, and more rain...and not just the day of the wedding but the days before and after...We are having a destination wedding and are travelling there on Wednesday and plan to stay there after the wedding on Saturday for 4 days...And of course almost all of our activities that have been planned, including the wedding ceremony are all out doors!! I just feel so much bitterness everytime I hear/see the forecast for this week/weekend because I feel like I am getting jipped! I know I should just feel happy for brides getting married this weekend (and I do) but I am so depressed now...And everyone keeps saying, "oh, the weather forecast isn't reliable this early out," and "That's why there is a plan b for the ceremony," and "No use worrying over something you can't control." This doesn't help people!! I know what I'm feeling isn't necessarily rational, but it's what I feel nonetheless!! Anyone else worrying about the weather?
