mildlybookish:  I asked my photographer to get a pic of my husband the first time he saw me because we did not do a first look. It was so important to me to get this. I had 2 photographers and no one did it. It still frustrates me today. Also, I didn’t get a huge group photo of my family and his family together, which I regret not asking for.

mildlybookish:  You’ll never get this perfect, but I’d love to have:

 – A photo of all the guests together (we only had about 65 people)

 – A photo with my mom/dad/sister and me

 – More photos of my friends and guests.  We only had one photog, so since she was taking so many photos of us, there are lots of friends and family who aren’t in any of the photos.  It’s the tradeoff we made, but I’d love to have a few great photos of my friends.

MrsNebraska:  This is a main reason for us to have our first look. I read an article that said that photogs miss this moment a lot because of guests blocking their view, trying to get pics of the bride, etc.

mildlybookish:  Grandma!!!! she came all the way to alaska to leave the ceremony right after and not to go the reception. wish i had a pic of her there at all! my sisters husband was too busy taking his own pics to be in a family shot. someone mentioned earlier a pic of everyone! what a great idea. at the reception there was a huge area outside and it was beautiful. i had a smaller wedding and it would have been fun to try and get a giant shot of everyone! an picture of DH and I from far away to show the senery. other than that i got what i wanted. also forgot the picture of the rings. its been a year and ive been meaning to do it myself lol

mildlybookish:  pictures of our rings- not on our fingers! He took one or two but we were kinda rushed and they just didn’t come out as nice as I would have liked. We do have some great ones with us wearing the rings though! I figurd its no biggie- I can always take some myself whenever I want…

us taking a selfie…I think it would be so fun looking bad and seeing how dumb the trends are and to document when the term “selfie” orginially started

a picture of both of our families together! I’m not sure how this was missed. Also, I would have liked a picture of my mom, my sister and I together, my dad and brother together, our table escort display, our getaway, a picture of the entire ceremony area from a distance, the entire cocktail hour area from a distance, the entire reception area from a distance, getting ready, ughh … there is a bunch … I really disliked my photos.

1.) A photo of my husband’s entire immediate family. We only got a picture of his mom and his 2 brothers with us. But both of his brothers have a spouse, who were not included in the photo… but then when we took my family pictures, my sister’s husband was in it. I felt so guilty, and I felt like it was too late to have her take them again.

2.) A photo of just me and the flower girl (my niece). I think we could’ve gotten some really cute shots of just me and her goofing around and laughing. But it was never brought it. And I didn’t think of it until the next day.

3.) My bouquet. Well, I *BARELY* got a picture of my bouquet… I had to remind the photographer “You got a picture of my bouquet, right?” and she goes “oh that’s right, you wanted some of those.” So she got some upclose shots of me holding it.

4.) I don’t know whether or not my photographer got any shots of the table centerpieces. My husband and I worked very hard and made all the decor for the centerpieces… I’m on pins-and-needles waiting to see the final pictures, hoping she took some pictures of them. It makes me so sad to think about it. The centerpieces of our tables were one of my favorite elements of the whole wedding. Blah.
