I bought Allure 8919. It doesn’t have straps like I wanted. And I removed the butt bow. And intend to add a sparkly belt. But it is beautiful.
However, I wish I would have known about Alfred Angelo 2300 and at least tried it on. I’m considering trying it on somewhere. But I know my family and FI would be upset with me about getting another dress *should I like it better*. Should I resist the temptation?

I like the dress you got! There are always going to be new dresses coming out, you will drive yourself crazy second guessing! I think the dress you got with a belt will look great.

I think you should try it on under this condition:
1.) DO NOT BUY IT unless you sell your other dress first. If you do your FI will have a reasonable frustration that you are wasting money… because you are. The first dress is very pretty, and you chose it for a reason, so don’t forget that.
Also, IMHO a sparkly belt would look weird on the second dress, so if you really love that look, then stick with the dress you have.

They’re both beautiful! I think adding a sparkly belt to the first one would be very pretty and you can always have straps added to it, too! That would be a lot less expensive than buying a whole new dress.

Wow I was expecting to see two similar dresses but those are WAY different… do you feel like you bought your first dress because you just needed to buy one? I think the dress you bought is beautiful, I actually LOVE the bow on it.

I like both dresses, but I think you should resist the temptation! The first one is very pretty, getting a new dress seems like it would cause drama, and you might not even be able to get it in time for your wedding! Stick with your beautiful dress 🙂

I actually like your first dress more, especially with a sparkly belt. RESIST THE TEMPTATION!

I’m in the same boat as you are! I like another dress! And just like yours, they are completely different! However, I am going to try on the other dress. I think sometimes you may try something on and end up not liking how it looks on you. From that point, you will be able to move on feeling better that you made a good decision. I agree with previous posters, there are always going to be new dresses coming out every season and the temptation will be killer. If you do try on the new dress and love it, I would suggest trying to sell your dress you have now first before you buy the other.

I love the first dress!! The one you bought, it’s so classy. I would definitely stick with that one with a sparkly belt or without, I like it!

I tried on the 2300, I bought mine already but saw the 2300 and fell in love with the picture, so I went in and gave it a go. Glad I did I didn’t like it anywhere near as much as the dress I chose. I have actually done this with a couple of dresses and it always reassures me I made the right choice. I say try it on, hopefully it just reassures you that you already made the right choice with your current dress (which I love btw).

I like your dress so much more. If you really want straps, they are an easy alteration. But I really, really like yours much better.
If you can’t get it out of your head, try on the other dress. I am sure you will see it doesn’t look as good on you as the other one.

Thanks everyone. I’m just feeling so insecure and it’s freaking me out. The poll is overwhelming on the side of keeping my dress. So maybe I’ll keep thinking about straps or cap sleeves or something.

oh no no no ! i LOVE the dress you have much more!
as they say on SYTTD – finding a dress is like finding a man. when you have one, you stop looking! hehee. but really. try on if you must, but i love your first!

Love the shape of the first one- it looks like it would be super flattering. If it’s the lace and flowers you are after- remember you get a big lacy veil and you can do great things with adding a sash and straps! I had a bit of dress regret, but decided to get a little accent sash and it sort of perked me up! Also, try putting your dress on again and “fall back in love!” PS, I used Leflowers on Etsy- she did a knockout job!
