Me too! So far BabyCenter discussions seem ok when I stumble upon them with Google, but I don't know if they are consistent :). I'd be interested in a site like that too.
There is a website called babytobee.com, and when I first came across it, I was SOOOO excited because I thought the makers of Wedding Bee had made a baby site. However, there seems to be no affiliation, and the site doesn't appear to be that great.
@farmgirl2106: Glad I'm not the only one!
@Miss Apricot: When I started to read your post I got excited but as I continued my hopes diminished! They shouldn't mess with people like that in having such a similar name :) Kidding
What a brilliant idea! I would LOVE to be part of a community like that! Mommy bloggers, Bios Boards, Classified, DIY, and Galleries...please say the bee is working on this.
I'll just wait and not TTC until BabyBee gets invented.
(Kidding!!!!)
(sorta)
I looked, and I looked, and I looked. There is nothing like this out there. I even thought of starting something... but the fact is that my day job is too all-encompassing these days!
Mrs. Bee has talked about this before (there've been many requests for sites like "the nest" & "the bump", which I'm sure everyone knows are run by the people of "the knot"). From what I understand, they're interested, but there's nothing actively in the works.
@Jenniphyr: Well I would be all over such a site as I'm sure many of us would be!
@Mrs. DG: Oh that would be fantastic if you had started something, but you already have a crazy work schedule and do so much! I couldn't imagine managing such a site ontop of all that you do everyday.
@pansyshell: Here's the original post where Mrs. Bee discussed the possibility: http://www.weddingbee.com/2007/08/07/babybee/ (it's from 2007 though, and she's since had a baby, so maybe there'll be one soon!).
ETA: And two follow-up posts (http://www.weddingbee.com/2008/10/17/babybee-part-deux/) & (http://www.weddingbee.com/2009/07/16/my-little-surprise/). So, in the latest post she says she has no plans to "do a baby site in the near future".
If you're Canadian babycenter.ca is great! {They have a few international sites I believe}
I've browsed the .com/US site as well, and wow, so not a fan. Whether it's just from the higher volume of users, I don't know, but it gets quite heated over there!
I know Babybee was a dream there for a while, but it never really kicked off. If you're interested, Mrs. Barettes started a blog for some of the mama bees (Toucan, Tiramisu, and myself, as well as her own TTC journey). If you'd like to check it out, here's the link, http://www.beeinthepod.com/.
would totally love it.. hopefully it will have a section for TTC :)
That would be so awesome. This site is so user friendly and 'clean'. Not only that, but if you've checked out the other sites like 'the bump', they women are a lot less supportive. They're kind of harsh at times! Somehow this one manages to keep it respectful.
@Jenniphyr: Thanks for the links.
@NixLapi: Nope from the US. That's too bad the US site isn't as nice as the Canadian one.
@sand dollar: Thanks Sand Dollar! I'll be sure to check it out and congrats again!
@jennifer_espos: I agree and that is my main interest in having a site like this. I know there are so many other resources out there but the all lack a certain "vibe" in my opinion.
has anyone joined the TCOYF community website? I just signed up today but didnt want to waste my time if it wasnt that great.
I really wish someone would bring on the baby bee. I feel like Im annoying others when I start to post mainly on the baby threads.
I too wish there was a baby bee. I agree, other sites dedicated to pregnancy and babies aren't as easy to navigate and those who post aren't always as nice as people are here. Maybe someday...
@sand dollar: I am now in love with this "bee in the pod" website. Thank you!
I wish there was a Babybee too! There are too many B*%tches on the Bump. hehe. Sorry couldnt help myself! Weddingbee is full of nice people!
I couldn't agree more, I would love something like that! I've looked through sooo many pregnancy/parenting websites and haven't really been thrilled with them. While some might be great for info, they don't seem to have a sense of community. There's just something to the layout, content and members at Weddingbee that make it kind of irreplaceable.

Is it just me or do you wish there was a BabyBee out there?!
I love coming to WeddingBee and looking at the baby boards and sometimes wish there was a community just like WeddingBee but just for babies and parenting, complete with blogger mommies and such. I know there are a ton of other great parenting communities out there, but I just can't get into them like WeddingBee..Sigh.
Anyone have a parenting site they just can't get enough of and would like to share?
