I went to a bridal show today and won a dress. The problem is it is not really my style and not even near my size. The store owner said no exchanges, refunds, credits or such. The are custom created dresses and not a big name designer or anything. I was wondering if it would even be worth trying to sell it. It is a very beautiful dress and it would be great if I could sell it so I might be able to use that money for a dress that does fit me and my style. Thoughts?

You should try and sell it!! There are great classifieds here on weddingbee, and there are also other great sites like oncewed.com and recycledbride that have selling sections!

I would try to sell at a really good price or donate to a bride in need. Your not out anything either way by selling it cheap or donating. Good luck

why not? Even if you only get $200 or less, that’s more money than you spent on it (because it was free).

Def try to sell it for a good price. You could make someone’s dream!!

I think that you could sell it, it will be someones style then get a dress that you really like. You could also donate it and get a nice tax deduction. Craigslist is always a great place to start for selling.
Do you have a picture of the dress, I do love dress porn.

Absolutely try and sell it! It’s free, what could you have to lose? At the very least, you could cut it up for scraps LoL…

Can we see it? What size is it? Is it something that she just wanted to get rid of or what?
You could make someone so happy by giving it away or selling it at a cheap price!

It is a size eight, has what looks like a chapel train, and the beading pattern is the same on the back

I think you could definitely have luck with selling that dress! Try kijiji, on here, craigslist, and preownedweddingdresses (you can still sell new ones on there).

I would try and sell it online. Post pics here. Try and get a friend of the appropriate size to model the dress for you – i wouldn’t buy a dress if I couldn’t see what it looked like on a non model
