Have you thought about what band to go with each of them? I just wonder if the second one would be hard to match up. I really like them both but I think i like the first one better.
The swirl one is less traditional. Does that fit your personality? They are both beautiful!
Both are absolutely gorgeous rings! The first one looks more traditional and may be simpler to find a band to go with. However, if you're still indecisive after getting the Bees advice, ask your fiance' to surprise you!!
I like the ribbon ring, but that's b/c I loved seeing a similar design at Tiffany's. I think it sets up nicely on the hand, with a nice side profile.
I really like the ribbon (first) one! They are both nice rings but personally I have never liked the twisty/swirly look.
the ribbon one is so pretty, especially from the side view. i think it's a bit more traditional than the swirly one. it almost might be easier to find a band to match it than the swirly one.
Do you see how you can see the pointy part of the stone in the ribbon ring? Almost how it looks like it's just floating there? My ring has that too, and it's one of my favorite parts about it... when I'm driving and I have my hand on the steering wheel, there's my gorgeous 1.5ct moissy staring right back at me! I say go with the first one!
I like the first one better, too. They're both pretty but I've never been into the swirly look either.
I say swirly ring. Given the size of your stone (!), I think the swirl would be better. The first one is better for somewhat smaller center stones that need more of the diamond accents.
it depends on what you want. I think the swirly one will look more dated in a few years, and the first one will look freat. I actually saw a lady with the ribbon one, here on the weddingbee, and my first thought was " That's soo nice!)
LOVE the ribbon ring, and like others have mentioned, it will be much easier to find a band for...
I like the first ring better too. and I agree with the others, the swirly ring looks like it would be really hard to match a band to it.
I LOVE the ribbon ring... it's been one of my favorite on Moissyco since I started stalking that site.
i love the first one! i've seen a ton of rings, but that one is truly unique!
Oohh both are pretty and both come with matching bands on the moissaniteco.com set. Go with the one you keep going back too. That happened with me. Before he proposed he asked me to make a wishlist on moissaniteco.com and I kept adding and deleting rings, but always kept the halo I ended up getting. If you get something else, you are always going to wonder what the first one would have been like,
If I were you, I would get the ribbon as an engagement ring and then get the swirly one as a right hand ring later. ^_^
You can't go wrong with either of them - they're both gorgeous! Personally, I prefer the ribbon ring...I adore that look. Also, greater ease in finding a band that works is a big plus in my book.
I personally love the swirly ring! It's so unique and as long as it has a matching band that would fit it well, I would choose that one.
I know there are a lot of women who stop wearing their engagement ring and just go for the band, but I'm one who wouldn't even think about wearing my band without my engagement ring. I love the way that they look together and don't think I'll ever get sick of wearing them together!
I love the swirl.... I have a swirl ring. We looked at bands the same time as the ring to make sure there would be something to fit with it - and there are quite a few options. One jeweler even said he could create a two-sided band that had gemstones on opposites sides of the swirl. I wish I had a photo - if I get one I'll post it. But here's the ring I got. Also I have a post/poll about what to do about the band (or not) which has some interesting feedback...

After WEEKS of trying to find the perfect setting from moissaniteco.com (aka stalking the website daily) that I'd have my 1.25ct moissanite set in, I think I have finally narrowed it down to these rings (below). Will you help me decide which one to choose? Thanks!
1. Tiffany Ribbon Inspired Ring. The bow-like shape is to die for and it's kind of in between traditional and modern because just glancing it does look like a solitaire until you take a closer look. I love how the "ribbons" look and I like the profile detail! I would get mine two toned, yellow gold band and white gold "ribbon". I saw pictures of this ring "in real life" and WOW, it's awesome! I would love to pair this with a traditional yellow gold wedding band from Tiffany&Co.
(Note, I'm not purchasing form Asha Diamonds. They had the same ring w/ hand pictures and moissaniteco didn't, so that's why I'm using Asha pictures too. :-))
2. Swirly Ring. This ring has caught my eye every single time I scroll through moissaniteco's engagement rings. I ALWAYS do double take look. I like the dainty band and thin halo... and of course I like the swirl look! One thing that really appeals to me about this ring is that it's so flat and sits flush on your finger! It would be like nothing was on! No other rings on moissaniteco sit as flush as this, unless it's a bezel which I'm not into. I don't know what kind of band to wear with this though. It has a matching band, but I wouldn't be able to wear just the band alone.
