I am in the exact same shoes as you but haven't actually used it yet. I did get Ben and Jerry's recipe book from Amazon- great reviews and cheap, but I haven't tried it yet.
I got a Ben & Jerry's ice cream recipe book at Borders last summer and we made a bunch of them. They are so good!
I highly recommend David Lebovitz's The Perfect Scoop. You won't regret it! I have made the vanilla, chocolate, sour cream strawberry just to name a few, and they are always heavenly.

So, we got an ice cream maker as a wedding gift and now that the weather's warmish, I've been experimenting with it. Does anyone have any good homemade ice cream or frozen yogurt recipes they like? Our ice cream maker came with a booklet, but it doesn't have a lot of ideas, not to mention there are NO fro-yo recipes. We try to eat mostly healthy and I just didn't feel good about all the heavy cream in most of the recipes. Anyone else have a wedding gift ice cream maker and some great recipes to share?
