Laylabelle: here's the link to the site
http://www.missionrs.com/glass-jars-and-barrels.html#
it's from a company called Mission Restaurant Supply. They have the 10 Liter and the 20 Liter.
I think i'm buying one of each instead of the two small ones..
Will you be using ladles? I guess a 10 liter container holds about 2.5 gallons? If you put ice in, it's really not that much.
YESSSSS, go with the variety!!
PS try TJ Maxx, Marshalls, vintage flea markets, etc for the big iced jars like your first picture. I found mine at bed bath and beyond on sale in store for like $25 and one at TJ maxx for $16!! They are definitely around.
What a great site. We have a large blended family now and I'm always looking for deals on kitchen stuff. I agree with ejs4y8, I got a really great container like your forst one from another bride on Craig's list for $25. There are pretty good deals out there.
Also try BJ's-we saw some containers like that there as well.
@ iswimibikeirun: we are definitely using laddles. i will definitely look around for cheaper alternatives. but as of right now, it looks like i'm going with the barrels. ..
I swear by Milo's famous iced tea, which I can get by the gallon at the grocery store. Tastes home made like grandma made it for you! And for diabetic or weight-conscious guests (and my favorite) is their famous iced tea made w/splenda! Tastes just the same!
@ Bellenga: we have no Milo's.. someone else also raved about the tea from Publix stores.. but alas, we have none of those either.. ;/

So, yesterday I wrote a post about having iced tea at the reception and asked for suggestions on brands and what not. I've since decided (with the help of other bees) to buy the pre-brewed tea by the gallon, but will also have lemonade for those not crazy about tea. I had a suggestion by one of the bees about what kind of container to serve it in. i LOVED the container,
but not the price (40.00 + shipping) ;/ Anywho, after searching and searching and seaaarching, (heck, i didn't even know the name of the container i had in mind, but i knew what it looked like) I FINALLY found it... (btw- it's called a 10liter/20litter glass barrel. DUH! i can't believe myself sometimes! lol
and the cost is 15.00 + shipping, which is about 10 more bux per container than if i were to rent those stainless tea servers.... :D Lovett :D
