ok - so we went yesterday to look at dresses. I would like to have all of your opinions on which one you like better. I'm leaning more towards one - but I like them both.

I love the top of the first one - the one shoulder - as it sorta matches the top of my dress - BUT the bottom is flowy chiffon type of material.

I love the bottom of the second dress as the poofy is fun - and the material is silky like my entire dress...

Attached are my dress and the two BM dresses...

I like the first one (one shoulder) because I prefer straps to strapless, especially since your dress has straps. Also, I like the way the first dress lays straight (no pick-ups) similar to your dress.

i would be happier in the first dress than the second, but i have to be honest that neither are really my taste. if i were a bridesmaid though i would wear either and pretend to love it:)

I think the first one has the potential to be very unflattering on some body types.  Personally, I'm a 34DD, size 8 and that would DEFINITELY give me the "pregnant" look.

I think the second one is nice if you are not worried about it looking too wedding gown-like. (Personally I would not care, but just wanted to put it out there)

So if it's between these two - my vote is for #2.  Also, you might want to add a poll

I think the first one coordinates better with your dress. The pick-ups on the second are too much.

I think depending on how many bridesmaids you have the pick-ups could look overwhelming. Your dress is very sleek so I think something along those lines would go best. I'm sure you have looked all over but here are a couple that I found from Alfred Angelo

I think something like this would look great! It's the same type of material all the way down, and has a very similar neckline to yours! I think it would compliment beautifully. It's also from David's bridal. On sale for $99 on their website!

thank you guys for the suggestions!!! one issue is that - as far as body types go - I have two bridesmaids. One is a size 20 and one is 22.

And BOTH dresses actually looked really good on them... :)

We've only (so far) been to David's Bridal - which is where my dress is from - but they don't need to get theirs from there. I love the Alfred Angelo dresses - I need to find a place around Indy which sells them.

@JuneBride: If they both looked great, I say go for the one you like more :o)  I think with only two BMs, that second dress wouldn't be "too much"

I think both are way different feels than your dress- pick ups too formal and would compete with your dress, but the one strap too modern/trendy for your classic dress. I like the ideas that others posted... I think a fitted top with straps and an a-line skirt would be great.

I agree with hotchildinthecity---with two bridesmaids the pickups wouldn't be overwhelming. I pictured 14 bridesmaids all lined up and hitting each other because of the full skirts. Go with what you like or what works best on your ladies :)

I would be happy to own the first one!  It's pretty and more re-wearable than the second one.
