I am also a Boise bride, we lived in LA for quite awhile and just moved back to Idaho, so happy!! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We are getting married late August. Let me know if there are any specific vendors you need help with finding, I would be happy to help!

Congratulations to both of you on your upcoming weddings! I'm not a fall bride (July '09), but I share your love of Idaho and weddingbee!
I live in Boise, but we're getting married at Tamarack. So, if anyone has vendor recommendations in the Donnelly/McCall area I'd really appreciate it.
Has anyone heard of Storybook Bridal? I have been dealing with Rosalie there and she seems so sweet but I grew up in southern cali so it is hard for me to trust people. She is located in Coeur d'Alene. Please tell me if you have any comments on her. Thank you!!!
There are hardly any Idaho brides!! I am thrilled to be going back to Boise for my June 2010 wedding. After living most of my life in Idaho (grew up in Boise & then college with my fiance in Moscow), I moved to Denver over three years ago. I enjoying living in a big city, but couldn't find the right place for our wedding in Colorado.
The current plan is an outdoor wedding at a beautiful Victorian in Boise. I'm trying to find a caterer, photographer, dj, videographer, etc remotely, so I'd love any recommendations!

@Toffee - Cd'A is beautiful! I didn't spend as much time there as I'd liked while I was at UI, but I loved strolling around the city and, of course, the lake! Where will your wedding be? Do you think you'll do any pictures outside in the snow?
If it actually snows this winter then we'll be taking pictures outside, but if it's like this year, then we won't. Ours is going to be in Hayden at one of the LDS churches that my FIL's go to.
@Toffee - Yeah, I didn't think you'd be having an outdoor ceremony! What made you and you FI decide to have such a long engagement?
It was partly the fact that since I was giving up a chance to join the navy to be with him and thus needed some sort of commitment and also we didn't want to get married before FI graduated (last August). We wanted a winter wedding so that my cousins could hopefully make it and one of them was deployed this last winter so he would have missed it. What were you going to school for?
@Toffee- Well those are good reasons for a long engagement! 
I have a BS degree in Economics & my FI has a BS in Mechanical Engineering. We are both in Grad School in Denver now. He will graduate with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering about three weeks before your wedding. :) I am working on my MBA. I thought it would be fun to go to Grad School fulltime while working fulltime and planning a wedding. Yeah, lots of fun! 
So what planning do you have finished so far? Do you have your dress?
I'm actually going to try on what could be the dress tonight and if I like it I'll be ordering it. We've picked our venue (still have to reserve date, but that will only take a phone call) and we're getting ready to put down a deposit on a photographer. We're going to be doing some cake testings soon, too. Yours is coming up pretty soon, huh?
@Toffee - What did you think of the dress? I think the bees need to see some pics!
Yes, our wedding is 71 days away (is it a bad sign that I know that without thinking?!). We received our first RSVP in the mail yesterday, which was exciting, but probably would have been more exciting if it had be a 'Yes'. Looking forward to our first 'Yes' RSVP! Hopefully some will arrive this weekend. We have been planning from Denver & the wedding is in Boise. I'm heading to Btown over Memorial Day Weekend (while the FI is on his bachelor party trip to Jamaica) for the cake & caterer tastings. I hope they go well!
So...where are all the Idaho brides? I know there are tons out there, but they must just be missing out on the wonder that is weddingbee!!
@Mojito The dress is amazing! I didn't get any pictures of it because my parents were having a "discussion" and it was too small of a sample to actually try on, but I was able to confirm the decision I'd already made about it. So we ordered it! I'm so excited, they're sending in the order today, so I should get a confirmation within a few days, then I'm guessing it won't be long until they ship it out from New York. I will have pics though, promise because I just sent an e-mail to the shop owner to find out the name/style # so I can post pictures here on the bee.
I think it's awesome that you have a mental countdown, I used to do that for my birthdays and I'm sure I'll be doing it for the wedding too. I'm hoping for your first "yes" too! Hopefully, though this is a sign of things to come. I mean, maybe you won't have to call anyone for their RSVP's. What kind of menu are you thinking about for the caterer? If I knew more about Boise I'd actually ask who you were going with, haha.

I am so excited to be getting married in my favorite place on earth... Idaho. I currently live out of state, but there is something so special about Idaho.
My other great love besides my amazing fiance and Idaho, is weddingbee! And I am really excited about the new local boards.
I am getting married in October... outside! Hope the weather cooperates!
Any other fall brides out there? Any tips or suggestions of vendors?
