I don't think you CAN predict the weather in Idaho! :D We had a VERY mild winter and now it's been cooler than normal for Spring (about 10 degrees). I'm worried about weather too (July)...although I couldn't care less how hot it is/isn't...I just don't want it to rain. :)
@farmersdaughter - Where are you getting married? My FI and I met at the University of Idaho, so we've spent a lot of time in Northern Idaho & Eastern Washington. Moscow/Pullman is beautiful in the summer. I would have to say perfect weather, really. It's also reallyl nice in Spokane/CDA.
@UCLAMeghan - What venue did you choose in Meridian? We're getting married in east Boise at the Bishops' House. Our wedding will be outdoors the end of June & I've been a bit worried that it will be too hot.
@Mojito - That is totally my neck of the woods - I grew up in Moscow! My fiance did as well, and his parents still live there (mine have moved) so we're going back to get married in our hometown. You're right - it can be so lovely there in the summer, I miss it so much!
@UCLAMegan - You're right, Idaho can be so unpredictable, although when it cooperates and doesn't rain, its perfect. I'm living in NC right now and can't imagine having an outdoor reception with the humidity we start getting in May/June! I'm nervous about the mild spring, but hopefully things will turn around and it'll be nice for our weddings...
@farmersdaughter - What part of Moscow did you group up in? Did you & your FI go to UI as well? My FI & I both loved Moscow in the summer, but the winters were a bit desolate for us. Did your family move to another part of Idaho?
Where are you having your reception? I went to a good friend's wedding at the gardens in Pullman that was beautiful. Their ceremony was mid-day in August and it was sweltering!
My FI's family lives north of town on Moscow Mountain, and we're holding our reception in their backyard. I grew up in town near Safeway, but my family has moved around a lot since I left for college (as have I...I live in NC now!) My FI and I both went away for college but a lot of our friends from high school went to UI (I'll always be a Vandals fan, my dad worked there for years!) I definitely miss it now and appreciate it so much more when I come back to visit. I agree about the winters - it wasn't so much the cold, but it does stay gray for a long time.
@Mojito - We are living in Meridian (hence the city in my profile), but we're actually getting married close to where you are - Idaho Botanical Gardens. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS there. :) But no "indoor facilities" of any kind (hence my "anything but rain" stance).

I've heard from family its been a really mild winter this year, but what are they predicting for the summer? My wedding is outside so I hope its nice!
