We are getting a good old sugary/buttery wedding cake but I wanted to offer a second option for our guests who are vegan, lactose intolerant, or have wheat allergies. We have at least one of each 🙂
The reception is a very rustic/casual barn party, so it doesn’t have to be anything fancy – just something so people don’t feel left out! Any ideas?

An easy and beautiful option is fresh seasonal berries with sorbet.

@mrsSonthebeach: THat is a good option. I love this without allergies for myself
For my vegan, gluten free friend I make dark chocolate (have to make sure it doesnt have milk solids) dipped frozen banana bites. You can roll them in different things such as nuts (but it is an allergy item) or crushed candy, vanilla sugar, etc
Depending on the time of year, a good baked apple or tea poached pears with a rasberry coulee
A vegan rice pudding with raisins
Depending who is making it and what they have access to there are substitutes for almost all desserts out there you could want, pies, cookies, breads, cupcakes etc.

@mrsSonthebeach: Ah, yes! Raspberries should still be in season for our early October wedding 🙂 and sorbet would be great. Thanks!

@ThreeMeers: baked apples would be great too! Fall harvest in full effect!
