Jewelry/ handbags are out due to personal preference. And I also can’t break the bank. The MOH/bridesmaids are my sisters. What have you given/ recieved that you loved?
i’m trying to stay away from engraved boxes, too. those things always tend to collect dust for me.

Do something that they might actually get some use out of. I got my girls pashmina’s and they still wear them today. Or you could do candles, a bath soap kit, lotions. There is no reason you have to get something fancy. Get something that they will actually appreciate. I would be happy with food. 🙂

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
I got my hotties pretty robes to wear for getting ready together and thereafter. I also gave MOH a gift certificate to her favorite steakhouse and a night of babysitting so she and her hub could have a night out to themselves. Full disclosure: The night of free babysitting was really for me. What a perfect excuse to hang out and play with my nephew. 🙂
Note: the robes were not extremely expensive. I collected them throughout the engagement from JC Penny, Kohls, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, etc. I wanted the robe to match each ladie’s taste, hence finding them at different times in different places.

scarves. i’m getting my girls clutches and jewelry and a hand-printed/painted pashmina from Etsy. there are some really talented people on there, and most of my girls are scarf lovers like me so i’m excited about that 🙂

@ThisDeluxeLife: Things I would like would be: bath and body stuff, candles, make up stuff (glosses, mascara, nail polish ) or maybe a travel size makeup bag…… I would be pretty much happy with most gift but I am not really a huge fan of embroidered stuff with initials so anything other than that

I agree with the other bees – get them something they will use. Maybe a gift certificate to a spa?

I would love a robe or kimono. Those seem to be given a lot, and they seem to be universally enjoyed!! You can get them pretty inexpensively, too.

I’m actually thinking about getting my ladies some cute and comfy slippers that they can wear while we are getting ready, and can bring to the wedding to change into once their feet get sore.

I got all my girls the same things. I got them sippy cups to use while we’re getting ready, nail polish, earrings, hankies that are embroidered with “NO UGLY CRYING” (for the wedding, and appplicable in every day life lol), and everything will go in a cute tote bag. Here are pics of the cups (they will be in our wedding colors, and have each girls name on them. Who can’t use a cup, right?), the hankies, and the tote bags. I got the cups and hankies off of Etsy and tht tote bags were $2 each at Fredrick’s! Sorry the pics are HUGE.

I personally don’t care for robes and tote bags, but I’ve seen some very cute ones on here!
I would say get them something you can do together….like an experience- spa, massage, manicure coupons, gc to favorite restaurant.

Candles, wine glasses, gift cards, coffee mugs (can still be used for hot chocolate or something if they don’t like coffee or tea)

@ThisDeluxeLife: I’m giving them robes, wine (well, for one), and gift cards to their favorite stores.

What would you give them for a birthday or Christmas? These are personal gifts, they don’t have to match each other or be related in anyway to your wedding, you can just get them something they’ll love.

@ThisDeluxeLife: For all of the weddings I have been in I have recieved Jewelry and a compact mirror or something to that affect. I am giving my bridesmaids each a personalized tote bag, a clutch, jewelry for the day of, robes from victoria secret to get ready in, solemates (they go on the bottom of heels so your feet don’t sink in the grass), a personalized tumblr and I might get them each a pair of sandals not sure yet.
