I'm having the same problem, it seems like even people who are reselling them are selling htem for at least $5 each. I still think thats to much. I saw some 4x4's at IKEA for 2.75, and some 4x4's with rounded sides at Walmart for 2.00.
I know thats not really what you want, but.. I feel your pain.
dollar tree!! when you say cheap, what's the price range you're speaking of?
The dollar tree has only really small ones, I looked there b/c I head they had them.. and they did, but they were 3x3 I think.
I stopped by the huge goodwill on Rainer (sodo-ish) today to look for some vintage wedding goods. They had a ton of the same stuff ive been finding in antique shops for a fraction of the price..
They also had a million vases for 69 cents (rows of em)
Bring some purell though, because that place seemed like a breeding ground for swineflu. I couldnt wait to wash my hands when I got out of there..
But I scored a bunch of wedding stuff for 11 bucks. I would suggest at least checking it out.
Guess what I found a really good website...it seems the prices are a bit competitive...
I think I just may have to scale it down. Cheap like under $200 for 25 tables. With flowers used, I don't think I can get it any more down?
Any ideas on some classy, elegant centerpieces with a little height...I just don't want something that sits 5 inches off the table...I want it "in their faces" so to speak...but have guests see whos sitting across the table.
Yeah, I won't rent...its the same cost as if I were to buy them.
Ohh no, I clicked on that site and my computer told me there was a threat detected. Is it a safe site?
eeek
Totally safe here...it takes me right to it! I have a mac...i don't know if that makes a difference!
I would refresh Craigslist often throughout the day. I found some great buys on square vases. I actually already resold my square ones (they went fast) and have my bubble vases on there now. The rounds aren't as quick to sell. I also have 43 white chinese lanterns if anyone is interested in the Seattle area ;)
Extremely interested in the chinese lanterns...are you renting or selling and for how much??? We are hanging lanterns in our tent :)
Same boat here, when I clicked on the website, my virus checker thingy majingy said threat detected.
What if you reduced the set up from three containers to one larger one? I wanted the same idea, but two glass vases w/ sumberged flowers and one pillar candle. The vases I saw were just way too expensive. I found an alternative, but they aren't glass. I had to compromise, but love the vases I got.

I posted the lanterns in the bee classifieds searchable under tags Chinese Lanterns and Seattle
Save-on-crafts is awesome, but I got my vases on ebay. It took a littel bit, and I didn't get them all at the same time. But I saved a lot of money and they are perfect.
I found mine at Marshalls! They were under $10 and were super nice! Good luck!
I got really inexpensive vases at the Crate & Barrel outlet store at my local outlet mall.
You also might want to try Craigslist and Freecycle. I was born and raised in Seattle, but just moved to Spokane. My mom-in-law-to-be is on the hunt for me right now over on your side of the state. I posted ads on Craigslist and Freecycle wanting FREE vases. You'd be surprise how many dusty old vases people have laying round! I literally recieved 100 vases...FOR FREE. (Not from one person, that was multiple donors!) We just had to drive around and pick them up. Try it. It never hurts to ask! And I've also done the Goodwilly thing to get some specific sized vases too. Great deals! Good luck!
Yea, I recently posted a "wanting" ad on Clist as was blown away by how many responses I got. People are really just sitting at home waiting to give their stuff away. Who would've thought!
I agree - check CL as well as look for the 50% off coupons you can get from Michaels. You will always be able to resell them and recoup the cost.
It looks really classy to do tall cylinders with floating candles on top. I prefer a submersed orchid variety (chartreuse cymbidium orchids) are my favorite.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I want to do a centerpiece with 3 different sizes of square vases with flowers submerged in them. However, I cannot find any cheap vases??!! I want my centerpieces to be nice and have a little height to them but really running of out ideas.
Any help would be so much appreciated :)
