I love the idea of using mason jars for decorations at our reception. I’ve been saving Classico pasta sauce jars (they look really good) and am wondering what I should do with them? Put candles in them? Flowers?

We used them as vases for centerpieces on our tables =)

We hot glued the leaves, and then used tissue paper and put a couple of flameless candles inside each one. Our room had small windows throughout that we put these into.

@QBbride: how about hanging them from tree branches with candles, or filling them with coloured beads, water, and a floating candle? you could even add food colouring to the water…that would look really pretty at night!

Place a photo in them then fill the jar with oil for a vintage look. This would be a great way to display parents’ and grandparents’ wedding photos.
fill with candles or fairy lights and hang from trees
hang from chairs for pew markers
hang on fence with candles to illuminate other decor
supplement floral centerpiece
use as vases
make a chandelier
use to package wedding favors
use for drinking glasses

We are using them for vases. I am having a shabby chic theme, so I glue ribbon lace around the tops to hide the grooves, and then put a small doily (think grandma;s house) under them. I did a mock up of the centerpieces today and I think it will all work 🙂

We used around 700 mason jars at our wedding! We made 4 different mason jar chandeliers, and used the rest for decor and for the guests to drink out of..basically everything we could think of.
We put water/floating candles on the tables, here’s a picture where you can see the candles on the table(and you can see most of the chandeliers in the four corners of the building)
We also used them for the pew flowers:
sorry for all the pictures–hope this helps : )
