How about purchasing tall vases and filling them with oranges? I had a friend who did this with limes for her reception and it was really pretty. Or, I saw something that Martha Stewart did with picture frames. She glued them together to make a lovely centerpiece. It’s easy to do and looks great. Good luck!

I don’t want floswers either, too many allergies to rick the pollen count indoors.  Instead we are using small "bubble balls" aka fish bowls, and putting fish in them.  I am thinking about goldfish since they are cheaper, but we may splerge and get something more expensive.  Good thing about fish as the centerpiece, they are fun to watch, they are easy to get, and if you get them from a store with a return policy you can take them back, no questions asked.

My wedding is September 12 and our "theme" sounds very similar to yours. I too have been up at night trying to come up with a centerpiece idea. i think i finally found it. I came accross an idea the other day where someone filled a vase with preserved leaves. It was so simple but it actually looked pretty cool. I’m going to up it a bit by adding a few branches with red berries, placing the vase on top of a square mirror and surrounding it with votive candles.  I just ordered the supplies from save-on-crafts.com (great resource by the way) so as soon as I put one together I’ll put it up for all to see.  In my head it looks great but in reality it could be a hot mess!! Good luck!!
