@Waitingbee57:  I don’t live around there, but my husband and I got married in a theatre that was (and still is) under rennovation.  It took a lot of work to make it look good, but it worked out well…and it was free.

@Waitingbee57:  Thanks so much!  It was a LOT of work, but totally worth it!  Even though the venue wasn’t “Perfect” when we got married, it had so much character I didn’t even care!  Good luck with your venue search!!

  • Wedding: February 2013 - Mansion House at the MD Zoo

@Waitingbee57:  I don’t live anywhere near you, but we got married at the zoo. The Md Zoo has both indoor and outdoor spaces you can rent out; I think most zoos have at least outdoor space. It was a ton of fun, and we got to have a zoo animal at our cocktail hour. Our guests loved it.

I’m having a really small wedding so I am renting out a cabin. But I have also heard of people renting an entire campground as well.

@Waitingbee57:  We had our ceremony and reception at our city’s children’s museum.
