So for the few people that are coming to my wedding, I wanted to make them a cute little gift bag with some things in it. My wedding will be on the beach, so I was think of like some chocolate sea shells, little tubes of sunblock, etc. though I am having trouble finding the right sized bag and enough stuff to fill them with. Any ideas? I have been looking on etsy, any places you can recommend? What kind of neat little things would you put in them?

@GeekChic: I know! I saw those! I am just worried everything won’t fit, so I have been trying to find a gift bag type thing… with tissue paper.. or maybe just something similar… I also though a large sand pail might be cute to put their stuff in… lol!

i got mini canvas bags to put all my welcome gifts in and had them personalized with “Jamaica” on them. they were similar to these here. i just can’t find the exact ones i used anymore.
and these go on sale all the time, so i would not buy them at regular price. Some of my guests used the bags on the beach all week!

I used actual beach pails for my Out of Town. Double purposed so the kids (and the big kids) can play on the beach. We also put in things like
mini wine bottles
our favorite candies
our favorite cookies
word search and pen
skipping rope for the kids
custom painted water bottles
Ok so it might not all fit in the one bucket so big families may get 2.

My only concern with using actual sand pails is if your guests are flying, those take up a lot of precious room I luggage. I think the idea is adorable, but bags that can be folded down might be more traveller-friendly.

There are so many cute ideas for a destination wedding Out of Town bag! Just remember, you do have to transport everything. I love the idea of sand pails, but that might make traveling a bit difficult.
I would definitely try to include something special to where you’re getting married. For example, if you were in Key West, I’d do something with Key Lime candy. That also might take a bit of finagling once you’re down there, and it may not be something you’re wanting to deal with.
No matter what, I am always a fan for including asprin/ibuprofen in one of the bags! It’s always needed :-). I love the idea of a water bottle, or one of those cups with the hard plastic straw and lid. My friend’s sister has a Cricut machine, and she bought stuff to make them personalized. They turned out really cute! I don’t know how many bags you have to make, or your budget, but that is an option. I love those because they hold the ice longer and there’s a lid, so you don’t have to worry about sand getting in your drink.

Most of our guests are driving but we do expect a few of our buckets to be left behind.

I’m just doing siple kraft bags that I embossed with starfish stamps.
I’m adding candies, snacks, mini sunscreen (in the travel section of walmart) and I found mini hand sanitzers at bath & body works that are in tropical/beach scents. Not super creative, but better than plain smelling purell =)

Bottle of water (if it is a location that is really warm, then a bottle of a sports drink is nice), snacks (cookies, chips, crackers, granolabars, something local from your wedding location), sunblock, flip flops (look at Old Navy when there is a sale), local maps/activities booklets, Tylenol, a welcome letter and itinerary.

I have this saved in my inspiration pics, they are door knob hangers. I think they are a cute, personalized item to throw in the Out of Town bags!
