Do you HAVE to get them anything? I guess I’d never even heard of this until I joined here. We’re doing photo albums (after the fact, obviously), but I had planned to do that anyway.

I’m sure a really nice heartfelt card would be appreciated.

@vorpalette:  Since we’re paying for the wedding ourselves I just don’t get why I have to spend extra money buying gifts for our parents.  We plan to give them mini albums of wedding pictures a few months after the wedding (hopefully they will also be able to serve as Christmas gifts.)

@shelbeysweet:  I got our parents personalized gifts from Etsy, but I do think they were more than $100. If you want something persoanlized, try Personalization Mall and see if thre is anything there that catches your eye. They also have some gifts on The Knot’s shop that you can check out.

If you don’t have anything you like within budget, I would settle for a nice card and maybe a giftcard for a meal or ice cream or movie. Or maybe nothing as I am sure your parents will understand, and you could always give them something at a later time when you have the money.

I got both our moms a custom collage of our engagement pictures from Shutterfly. I will also be making them parent albums… eventually…
