I think you have found an interesting way to combine many colors with black and white. My first thought is to have the wedding party have colored shoes (men too) not just shoe laces as colored shoe laces are a bit childish but colored Chucks can look nice and will stand out a bit more. I would also be more in favor od a colored sash and all having white flowers but I am generally not a fan of maids with different colored flowers.

I think rainbow weddings are soooo cute (and happy)! But I don’t think it’s too much to be akk rainbow rather than doing it as pops of color! Here are some great inspiration links, they have awesome pics!

This sounds similarly to what I’m doing! I say my colors are black and white, with pops of (all) color. I want it to be classy, but also funky and fun. My girls are wearing the black cocktail dresses with different colored shoes, rainbow bouquets (we’re including all the colors in each of the bouquets so that there is cohesion). I’m also doing one color as a statement for each centerpiece. To keep it from looking like a rainbow threw up all over, or to keep it from looking like a 3 year old’s birthday party, I’m playing up the black and white neutrals as much as possible. It serves as a beautiful backdrop to make the colors pop even more. My cupcakes are just black and white, linens, men’s tuxes, etc.

I really like the idea of the men wearing different colored chucks, and I think all the colors will speak for themselves at the ceremony, so I would decorate with just white/black. I think you can use rainbow striped ribbons as an accent in the guestbook, programs, and invites… for example, make your invites just in black and white, then use a rainbow striped ribbon as a belly band? Or tie it as a bow on the top of the programs? You want an accent of color, not a kids birthday party! (That’s the fine line I’m walking right now!)

love it- there was a great wedding photo posted recently where the bridesmaids wore dark navy, and had 6 different colors shawls- classy and unique.

I love the idea!  And I love the pictures that were posted here… My only worry would be that there is too much black in your ideas, have fun with the color!

What about doing white linens on the tables with each place setting in a color of the rainbow around the table? Like one place setting be pink or red, then a fun orange, then a yellow one etc… ?

My cousin did this, she had different colored centerpiece on each table.  Honestly, it looked really incoherent.

She  also did the multi-color rose bouquet and it looked….. Not good.  But maybe she just had a crappy florist.

We (BM) were in black dresses with different colored sashes.  Each Groomsmen was wearing a vest to match the girls sashes.

I am having a rainbow ribbon veil for my reception. They are so easy to make and (I think) look fantastic. Easy way to add that pop of colour ๐Ÿ™‚

What are you doing for your favors? It would be very simple to incorporate all of the colors depending on the favors. Im a Bridesmaid or Best Man in a friends wedding and she is doing a candy bar. If you did that you could buy rock candy and lollipops in multiple colors, and candies such as M&Ms that are already different colors. She is also doing a cardbox that is 3 tiers. If you did one yourself it would be quite easy to paint it rainbow style, or leave it B&W, then tie ribbons in rainbow order, in stripes around the box.

I love your dress ideas. And I agree with Slicey19 about the Chucks.

I’m having a colourful wedding in just under a month.  We are using white with pops of 10 colours.  I will probably upload a whole lot of photos after the wedding in July.

I was inspired to buy a rainbow wedding ring to match our wedding though

I love all of your ideas!! I’ve always said that my next wedding will be rainbow themed. :]

Maybe for the guestbook you can have a picture (possibly of a rainbow) for people to sign with different colored pens. Or do a thumbprint tree with different color inks.
