hello! this is my fist official blog post 🙂
i was wondering about some good ideas for seating arrangements. i definitely want to have some sort of organization to the seating- either seating cards at the tables or tent cards with the guest and table number then have each table clearly numbered. i’ve been to some weddings that had no arrangement or had a large poster board with people’s names and their table number. but i’m just not sure what is the best option…HELP!

my concern with only putting guests’ names on the tables is that they would have to walk around to all of the tables to find their place.
There are a ton of cute ideas instead of a “large poster board” like a chalk board or old windows. If you chose to go this route, make sure the writing is big enough for people to be able to read it from 5-8 feet away. There also a ton of placecard ideas if you are a DIY-er.
any way you chose, take a printed copy of your seating assignments with you to the reception (or rather give it to a trusted friend) so that if people have questions or a placecard gets misplaced, someone can help them. Either way you chose (placecards or a big board) having table assignments is a good idea so that no one sits alone and other possible drama.
