You could do an old hymn like “The Love of God”, or a newer song like “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us.” Go to Youtube and look up some Christian wedding songs. You can probably buy sheet music online for a decent price!

I had two “special songs” that were sung during my church ceremony. I knew my cantors, and knew their voice ranges, so I kind of catered to that.

I special requested “All I Ask Of You” by Webber from Phantom of the Opera to be sung, and it was done so beautifully! The church is pretty stickler-ish about having only spiritual/appropriate songs for the ceremony, but they agreed to do this one. Go figure!

The second one, sung during communion, was “The Prayer” by Charlotte Church and Josh Groban, which was another big hit that they sing together at weddings sometimes.

You can see my ceremony breakdown here if you’re interested. 🙂

We are also having “The Prayer” as a special song in our ceremony!  If you are looking for something modern and Christian, Josh Groban has a few nice and appropriate songs.  “You Raise Me Up” would be one option.  I agree on the Christian hymns also, we are having one sung during our unity candle lighting.
