I'm actually going to do a board with the names listed similar to what I've attached at the bottom. We we're going back and forth about attaching the favor to it, but as we need the card to be in front of the plate to tell the waiter what meal choice the guest chose (we're doing this by using our two wedding colors as name cards, and one will be chicken the other color fish) we decided we'd be taking too much of a chance of it not actually getting to the right table.
I'm going to do a combo of these two - the board on the easle and then get the names on, with these cute card and ribbon.

ooh - sorry for the huge gap between pics - I swear that wasn't there when I checked it before posting.....
Thanks Sweeney2Be. That is a really good idea! I love the cards with the bows.
Hi...
Since I'm having a wedding on a lake, we are going to continue the outdoor theme to our escort card table too...I am going to use Polished Black River Rocks and hand write their names on one side and their table assignments on the back. Than I plan on laying them on a bed of moss with randomly scattered lime green cymbidium orchids. Was also considering laying the rocks on beds of clover to repeat the whole asian & irish wedding. Hence the username :)
Another option I have seen people do is to use small potted plants or herbs which act as both the escort card and the favor at one.
What about stringing your escort cards on an old iron gate or hang them up like a mini clothes line?
My girlfriend used small vases a single flower as the escort cards which turned out beautifully.
I hope that helps...email if you have more questions. I'd be glad to help.
greenteaguinness- how are you planning on getting the names on the rocks? I had thought about doing a similar thing, but I can't figure out how to get the names on there- if I paint them I'm worried they'll end up looking like a preschool art project! Any thoughts?
Emily..
They have paint markers at craft stores that are especially made for writing on ceramic/pottery... they work perfect on rocks or stones...

What are you doing for the name/place cards display, Fr the table where people go to pick them up. One friend put hers in trays with sand and shells, because they love the beach. I would love to do something interesting as well. Let me know if you've seen any cool ideas. Thanks
