I say have your florist do mini, pomander-like flower arrangements for them! Delicious!

Tealight holders would be cute! Or if you flip the cup over, use a little museum wax on the bottom of it and stick the saucer with the printed side up, it could hold a pillar candle, just for some variation! If you did the teacup flipped over with the wax on it, then a glass plate on top, it could be a cute dessert stand!
Good luck!
Oooh! I love all of those ideas! The flower arrangements would be adorable, and the pillar candle holder is an awesome twist. I'll have to try it out! Thanks so much!
I thought something like this was beautiful. My mom and I are collecting tea cups to use for the wedding/shower for tea and coffee but we might do something like this too
I think flowers would be beautiful. I love the idea, especially given the sentimental value. I'd make sure I put them where I could see them, like the head table. Not just because they're pretty, but I get paranoid about that stuff, I wouldn't want anyone to break them.

These were my photographer's centerpieces at her wedding. The teacups were inside birdcages. She also used one as a cake topper.

@jordynrose-- the idea of using it as a cake topper is so cool! If I didn't already have the prefect topper (my DIY bride and groom turtles), I would totally do that!
Thank you, everyone, for all the great ideas!
How about in candles or cupcakes inside them? It would be adorable for a bridal shower!

Hi everyone,
I have a collection of 12 antique tea cups and saucers of various floral patterns that I inheirited from my mother (and were my great-aunt's before that). I LOVED these things when I was a kid and they have a lot of sentimental value, and I think they could be very pretty to utilize at the reception and/or my shower. Any thoughts about how to use them (and ensure guests don't try to take them home!) I was thinking maybe as tea light holders on some of the tables or on the entrance table that I am using to honor the memory of my parents with their wedding picture. Any thoughts?
They look pretty similar to this cup with floral patterns of various colors:
