Have you checked out afloral.com ? That's where I got mine from. I got anemones and they were just under $1.50 a stem.
Oh wow, I just checked afloral hydrangea's and the cheapest I saw was $3.49 a stem. I guess they are more expensive because they are bigger.
@adnama: Thanks! No, I have not looked there. I'm checking it out now. How was the quality? I read on here a few mixed reviews.
try Hobby Lobby if you have one in your area, I'm using gerber daisies so they're a cheaper flower but I got them for 83 cents/stem. They run half off sales all the time. I can't remember how much their hydrangeas were though, I would say $4 or less at full price so $2 when they go half off.
@clwkerric: I love my flowers! They look very real from far away, and even up close it's hard to tell until you actually touch the flowers. They came packaged very nicely with no damage too!
@adnama: Yea.. YIKES! I Just looked at the 2 colors I wanted and they're 4.39 for 12+.. YUK! maybe i need to find a cheaper version of the flower lol
@SunnyBunny: No, we do not have any Hobby Lobby's :( We do have Michael's. I went there today but they're 4.99 or 5.99 a bunch - I forgot because it was just not what I'll pay lol I have some relatives that have them .. I'll ask them to keep an EYE out :)
these aren't fake but they end up being like 2.66/stem http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/category.jsp?categoryId=1245
@SunnyBunny: Thank you! I might have to get them for the bouquets =)
I did all my centerpieces from Dollar Tree blower bunches and I just gut them apart.

@tksjewelry: We have a lot of Dollar stores around here. There's even an Oriental Dollar Store by me that has tons of flowers. I haven't gone there yet but I'm definitely going to swing by! Very pretty centerpieces though!! =) I'm getting a lot of my vases there
Here's the flowers I found at Michael's today (they were 5.99 a piece! UGH!!!)... I put them on top of an Eiffle tower to get a general idea...
oh, and those are Navy blue... the pic looks like they're black
I bought pink hydrangeas at Walmart for $3 a bush. Very pretty! They also had other colors and I also bought a bunch of white roses for pomanders at dollar tree.

here are some silk hydrangea petals.
Sorry, I didnt see where you said you were interested in hydrangeas until I already posted :D Good luck!
It takes time and effort, but "watching" the florals at Micheals has helped me a lot. At the end of every season they gradually get marked down to 70, 80, then 90% off. Since you've got almost a yr to your wedding you can hit the spring florals when they get clearanced in a couple months and then summer and fall. I got a LOT of gorgeous purple flowers just before Thanksgiving. My FI walked out with our arms full and I only spent $16. Also keep an eye out for their 25% off clearanced priced item coupons during those times. Happy hunting. :)
@bestbuddies: Thanks!! I'll keep an eye out for the colors I'm looking for :)
@Nellular: Thanks so much! I have a friend helping me find coupons too. You're right about having some time to watch the prices. I have quite a few Michael's just in the area I am able to watch. I'm just going to hunt for coupons and stalk the prices lol
As others have mentioned, check out afloral.com! I've already ordered all of my centerpiece flowers from them at a great price. Go to retailmenot.com and get a coupon code before you check out; there is usually always one.
They also have pre-made artificial bouquets that are very pretty and reasonable. I'm toying with buying one as the base of my brooch bouquet.

Hi Bees!
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find cheap bulk artificial flowers?
Either I cannot find cheap prices or I'm just in shock that artificial flowers are so expensive. You would think you would save so much money creating your own floral centerpieces but goodness.....
Any help would be great. I'm specifically looking for Hydrangea flowers to make pomanders for my certerpieces. =o)
