We are having soem candy favors with tags I think as well but since we have old book centerpieces, we would really like to tie in something else book related. We are thinking of DIY bookmarks with each person’s name on it (as in place card) that they can take home. We do not want to have it printed with our wedding details though-we want them to keep this! I have seen a few templates online and I really like old antique clip art etc but not sure how to do this. I also have tons of old book pages, some old music sheets too…I wonder if decoupage would work?
Any ideas? Thanks!

My sister actually did bookmarks as her favours! They had a bird theme. They put a bird stamp on everyone’s bookmark, and then used them as place cards, so each one had the person’s first name on it. Then they laminated them so they would last. They were cute and people liked them. I think it’s a great idea with your theme. Here’s a picture (ignore the fact that my other sister has it stuck to her forehead!)

I really like those. My trouble is that I can’t find a simple page template with the sizing already done-like 5 per page, etc. Do you think your sis would mind sharing her template? We are thinking of tree stamp and names as well. Not sure about laminating yet but that would be best. If so, my email is [email protected] I would really appreciate it 🙂 Thanks!

They have small foam sheets at the dollar store (dollar tree craft section), I think like 40 or 60 in a pack. They are colored but if you decoupage the whole thing the color will be covered up (I was think this would be a good form to use). If you cut them in half I think they would make a perfect size bookmark. I encourage you to use both the music sheets and old book pages. You can print off the names of your guest, cut each one out and decoupage them on at the same time. I think it will look great. Please post pictures when done.
