I’m looking for a little inspiration about how to decorate this hall. We’re getting it super cheap since it’s the lodge that we’re both members at and my Dad will be heartbroken if we don’t get married there! We’re getting married in the hall and also having the reception there. Our colours are red, black and white and I want to do something that takes the focus away from the ugly curtains and chairs!
The first picture is facing the front of the hall, the stage is on the left hand side where the wood panelling starts. I’m not really sure where to put the headtable (originally I wanted it to be by the red doors at the front of the room, but with the stage being there I’m worried that it will look off-center.
This is facing the back. The bar is in the top corner and there is a set of doors beside it, then room for a large table (the buffet or food usually goes there) and then the main double doors are to the left of that. Ideas?

Other than your color palette, do you have any theme or feel that you want for your decor?
Try to forget the chairs. Once your guests are seated, they will hardly be seen. If they really bother you, you can cover most of the back with a chair sash tied vertically.
Open the curtains to minimize the amount of the curtain color that is visible, or you could hang a curtain panel in one of your colors instead. You could have an arrangement of hanging votives with LED tea lights in the windows.
The suspended ceiling tiles make it easy to hang decor from the ceiling. You can get special clips for the T Bars or just tie fishing line around the bars. The ceiling also looks high enough to hang strings of lights.

Since it’s coming cheaply for you, is there an event designer you can hire to decorate the space? They are miracle workers!

Thanks for the ideas! We’re contemplating decorating ourselves (or hiring a few friends to put everything together on the day of). The decorating company quoted me the total amount that my decor budget is, without including centerpieces, the aisle decor, etc. so I’m thinking of doing it myself. The ceiling is super easy thanks to drop down tiles and there are plugs for the lights pretty much anywhere on the ceiling that I need them to be. I just need to figure out how to do uplighting! I love the idea of LED lights in the windows!
