At my companies new employee orientation/training a gentleman in his late 30’s early 40’s from one of our sister brands sits down next to me. He starts to chit chat about things in our industry and so on. I started work with my current company (we’ll call company A) about seven months ago. Well this guy was talking about my old company (company B) and I was explaining what was going on with it and correcting him on a few things. Both companies are in the same industry so these conversations are very common.
At the end of our conversation he says, “So you have experiences in both branches of Company B AND you’re currently with Company A so apparently you have a few years experience but you look like you’re 15!”
My boss and three coworkers are sitting at the table with us…
I reply, “Oh I know! Hopefully by the time I turn 40 I’ll look 25!”
My boss and coworkers about choked on their coffee and the guy just looked at me dumbfounded and says, “You can’t be that old…” I just smirked and shrugged my shoulders. BOOM!

I had someone ask me where I work. I explained that it is a call centre; they said, “so what do you do, take calls?” My answer was “No, I make party hats”. Durrr.

@Cummins59: good comeback!
A few months after he started at my company, my new boss told me that after his first day he went home and told his wife that he thought they were breaking labor laws by hiring a 16 year old (me). He was only a decade off… And I totally look my age!
