Is it because you're not eating, or are you eating yet still losing weight?

that happened to me a few years ago where i got down to 120 (I'm 5'8")  It was way too skinny for me, and for a while I felt good but then I just started to feel skeletal or something.  It turned out to be this weird reaction to a medication I was on, and I got so malnourished that my hair started to fall out.  I went off the medication and now I weigh 165, which is healthier for my height.  I'm sorry this is happening to you.  I would get a second opinion from another doctor if you can.  It sounds like there's something strange going on!  Just don't give up.  You deserve to be healthy.

@Leahhh: I'm wondering the same thing. You need to seek more medical attention until they can figure out what's wrong...or start eating more.

I'm having trouble understanding the original post...perhaps if you wrote out the words, it would help?

You've been to doctors over and over again?  Are you following their directions and still aren't gaining weight OR are you ignoring their suggestions so that you can keep losing weight?

I had a landlady once with this problem, and she had pills they gave her to stimulate appetite and weight gain.  Are you eating enough meat and fat?  Regardless of what most people think, fat is an important part of anyone's diet--to a certain degree.

What are the specialties of the doctors you are seeing?  Have you even been previously treated for an eating disorder?  What does your food intake and exercise regimen look like?  What recommendations are the doctors making?  How well are you following them?  How quickly did the weight loss occur?  Did anything seem to trigger the weight loss?

Just based on your BMI, you are definitely considered underweight (your BMI is 16.1; a healthy BMI is 18.5 - 24.9).  It's important to get this under control because a low BMI puts you at risk for various health conditions.

You also mentioned liking how you feel at this weight and being more comfortable.  Have you talked to a mental health professional as well?

I lost about 15 lb since giving birth to my daughter. From my pre pregnancy weight. I've always been naturally tiny and have a hard time keeping weight on. I started doing toning exercises, protein shakes etc. I've only gained about 5 lb back though. Breastfeeding killed my boobs though. I was a c cup and now I'm an a cup so I think that explains part of the weight loss. I was really depressed about this for awhile but I feel.fine and I eat healthy so I'm just trying to accept my new body. Do you feel ok?

@EvaBostonTerrier: huh..didnt relize tht was my BMI. Thanks! :) I rely appreciate you telling me! My diet and excersize are actually AWESOME. 5 small meals a day all organic healthy...all the food groups...all the vitamins I need and stuff. Wht I meant by liking how I am is tht I like being smaller...since I have a tiny bone frame...i dnt feel overwhelmed...but 95 lbs is a bit much...

I lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks. It's insane. When I get stressed ( wedding plans ) I lose weigt. I been to every doctor. I dnt have a eating disorder ( I LOVE FOOD! ) Neurologist, dietician, cardi you name it...even alergists...i do have a problem with my brain..i get 3%als aften (mini strokes) but I doubt ( anddocs as well agree) tht that is what cauding my weight loss....
