Hmmm. I probably would refrigerate them anyway, if it were me...I think they should be ok.
Do they treat them with anything to make them look better longer? I use rose petals in making soap, and it seems to me as if they start to look pretty wilted by a day after you strip them from the flower. Of course, I don't refrigerate them. I can't imagine they would last 72 hours if they hadn't been treated with something.
I have no idea. They're from fiftyflowers.com. It does list organic rose petals and non organic ones though
I need some additional info:
It makes a huge difference in how the petals will react (since they are usually delivered in 5gal bags...)

Thursday for a Saturday wedding in June. Delivered by 1030 am 90%, definitely by 5pm. Mom and Dad will be home all day while I'm at work. I was thinking Thursday because somebody WILL be home. Friday's our mid-day rehearsal, luncheon, etc. If they don't arrive by 1030am...they'll be waiting until at least 3pm on a hot friday june afternoon.Missouri is really humid
I'm afraid they'd wilt and look nasty.
I want them separated by color. I want 3 colors to shake it up a little
You should be fine if you refridgerate them when they come in. This site has pretty good information about get the best from your petals http://www.strictlyrosepetals.com/lavenderpetals.htm . They actually recomend receiving the petals on Thursday for a Saturday wedding, so you should be fine. No worries! ![]()

We're going with the whole blanket of rose petals on the table with candles centerpieces. I CAN have them delivered on the day before, the Friday. I'm worried that if we aren't home, they'll sit outside for a few hours and they'll be in worse shape than if I have them delivered Thursday, when i KNOW somebody will be home to answer the door and bring them inside.
Advice? The website guarantees they'll look good if used within 48-72 hours and I don't have to refrigerate them. Has anybody used fresh rose petals?
