I know David’s Bridal really works as a chain, so I would guess that you would be able to do it with no issues. Have you thought about using someone beside’s DB for alterations though? I know that a lot of DB brides opt to go elsewhere to get things done because they’re a little bit on the higher price point.

I believe you should be able to order it and have it delvered to your local store.  All three of my bridesmaid live somewhere else and they were all able to get it at their local store.

You probably can, but I would suggest looking around at some other options. The bridal store where I got my gown from does outside alterations if someone bought their dress elsewhere, their prices were decent and the work they did was phenomenal. Although I actually had two other seamstresses I could’ve asked to do work for me I ended up staying at the bridal store because I wanted someone who knew how to handle bridal gowns and all the beadwork and detail that goes into it. I was extremely happy with my choice in the end because it turned out perfectly. So I would say to look around at a few other bridal stores that do outside alterations and see how much they charge and what their alterations work looks like. I just say this because I think sometimes David’s Bridal’s alterations department can be hit or miss and I’ve heard it’s pricey for the work they do.

I actually bought my dress from a DB in Arizona and they shipped it to my home in Wisconsin for $15. I was then able to get alterations from the DB near me and when I go back to Arizona for the wedding I’ll have it steamed by a DB in Arizona (supposedly for free as long as I don’t have it steamed by the DB here).
