My FI and I are getting married in Las Vegas because that is where we live and we so did not want a typical Vegas wedding. So we are having a lovely afternoon affair followed by high tea at the Four Seasons. It should be over at 4p. Well we decided to have the best of both worlds because we want to stay in our wedding finery and go out for a fun dinner and gambling afterwards. So I started thinking of my shoes and my dress and the nasty smoky Casinos. So I am debating getting a cheaper wedding dress and shoes to wear out for the evening but FI still wants me to look bridal in a full gown. So would I be better off looking on Preownedweddingdresses and OnceWed or going for a sample at a salon and that way my real dress and shoes stay pristine and this will be while not a throwaway no heartbreak either if it gets icky

Not a bad idea actually!! I would pick a beautiful dress for the ceremony and reception itself, but definitely bring another one to change into (especially bc of the smoking, spilling drinks at the tables, etc in casinos). I’m sure FI wouldn’t find it sexy for you to smell like an ashtray (hey … I’m a smoker! I can say that! lol)
But, you can still find something relatively cheap to wear out that evening. I’ve heard of alot of bees on here finding great steals on ebay, craigslist, and even some wedding websites of people just trying to get rid of their wedding dress because they’re cleaning out closets, etc.
My opinion, but good luck!

Not sure what your style or budget is, but if you wanted the second dress to be a little more casual (think: not big, poufy and frilly), I would try J Crew or Nordstrom.

i would get a bcbg dress. they are still long and beautiful and bridal, but only cost around $500. they are super stylish today, and you could glam them up with accessories for a night out on the town.they have some at nordstrom, or you can check the bcbg website.

Thanks but my fiance wants a wedding dress not an evening gown look – he is very insistant on that 🙂 But Ebay looks to be my best source for a sample gown for a good price. Preowned and Oncewed are mostly individuals and they cannot write off the cost of the dress as a business expense 🙂
I have also emailed my local salon to see what they have
